What is the status of Skagway for 2023 season?

this is the absolute one port I want to do in Alaska. I have till april to cancel my trip and will wait as long as I can before cancelling. I do not want to do alaska without skagway. and of course we are on a big ship so it needs that dock -
where did you book this excursion through? if ship which boat? we did this kind of excursion in st croix would love to do it again

I have booked 2 tours through alaska shore excursions. they have good reviews anyone used them? we have them for whale watching and the 8 hr train and bus back excursion. also we are in skagway from 7-5. they offer us the 8 hr train ride but it cuts it close leaving and coming back. anyone had this experience in time and the excursion

I too was going to ask about Sitka as not finding many good excursions. I looked at Alaskashoreexcursions and booked skagway through them. heard they were good. you can check them out. but sitka has me puzzled

I have no idea what hotel to book that isnt expensive. how do I know the location compared to pier? not sure its location to pier for cruise in seattle. are there any hotels who offer transport to pier for free?

ok so bit confused. is there an issue with a bigger 3-4000 people ship getting to skagway as this is a port I really want to see? we would be going in 2023 summer
