  1. I would call the Mariner Society number (800.547.9139) to discuss this. Have your cruise details with booking number. Additional info to help would be your end-of-cruise onboard spending statement and email confirmations of the original booking and pre-cruise purchases. However, you should need nothing beyond your booking details as everything should be in their computer.
  2. Koningsdam has the lowest pax count. There can be other considerations, but that is probably a key factor.
  3. These are probably existing build or refurb commitments that cannot be cancelled or delayed. I am confident they have tried to do both.
  4. Never mind. crew-center.com shows four ships in PV on 30-Nov. Ugh. It does show three on 23–Nov. Not sure why the web sites don’t align.
  5. cruisetimetables.com and cruisemapper.com show three ships on 23-Nov. There is the Koningsdam, Norwegian Bliss and Carnival Panorama. There are only two ships in PV on 30-Nov, Koningsdam and Discovery Princess. If true, not sure why we would not get one of the three docks. Unless there another web site that shows something different, and is considered more accurate?
  6. This attire will be fine anywhere on the ship, including the MDR and specialty restaurants. Enjoy your cruise - you have earned it. My dear wife and I love Vermont. We were up near Burlington late September, visiting family in Essex Junction. Drove up the West side of the state and back down the Eastern side. Beautiful countryside.
  7. Yes. The beverage packages may be used in the specialty restaurants.
  8. Speaking of music, that could be a Neil Young song. Oh, it is. 🤓 Looking forward to being on the water.
  9. Good to know. We are getting one for our NYE sailing.
  10. Yes, I plan to send our items needing pressing the first night. Then just touch up as needed.
  11. Or unlimited pressing for the full cruise is $4/day in North America sailings.
  12. It could also be a new price difference between purchasing in advance vs. onboard. Has anyone recently purchased unlimited laundry for the New Statendam before sailing? If so, what price per day were you charged? Or can someone with an upcoming New Statendam cruise try adding unlimited laundry to it, just to see the price in the shopping cart? You do not have to complete the transaction; it can then be removed from the cart. Thanks!
  13. Try it again now, or in a couple of hours. I have gotten this error before, and then was able to add the item to my cart at another time. The website is like an old car that starts sometimes and other times not. Or the old TV that needed a whack on the side to straighten out the picture. Oh, both of these analogies severely date me. Reckon I’ll just mosey along. Nothing to see here …
  14. Can you please provide a link to the stock forum thread? Thanks!
  15. Hang in there. Hurricane season has got to end soon.
  16. I had not tried to add it to my cart. I went back just now and was able to add it. The error when you tried to add it was probably HAL’s website gremlins we regularly encounter. I get that message every now and then when adding items.
  17. Did you sign up on ship or purchase in advance? I just verified I can still add unlimited laundry to a 7 night Dec 10th sailing on Koningsdam for $7/night. if you got it on board, there may now be a price difference when prepaying. If not, perhaps HAL is trying the new rate to gauge the impact on demand and revenue.
  18. I see in the Laundry Prices topic that several people on the New Statendam out of Ft Lauderdale we’re charged $9/day. I just went into my Dec 10th booking and it is still $49 for 7 nights to add unlimited laundry. Perhaps the fee is now more if initiated on board vs. prepaid. Or they are testing the new rate on a ship or two to see the results in usage.
  19. I recently added unlimited laundry to some Nov-Dec. 2022 sailings and it was still $7/day. North American home ports, of course. Did HAL announce an increase?
  20. Yes, nothing like fumbling around for it first thing in the morning, before coffee. 😊
  21. You can stuff a laundry bag for $20 each time. Or do unlimited laundry for $7/day ($9/day outside North America). At the $7 rare, the total cost for three weeks is $147. This fee covers everyone in your stateroom, it is not per person.
  22. We usually tip $2 for room service. It used to be a dollar, but we went to two dollars about five years ago. We get coffee and raisin buns delivered each morning at the earliest time available, and appreciate the consistent, early service.
