  1. The HAL website is not showing Mariner Rates again. This happened about a month ago and then it was fixed for a few weeks and now it's not. The last time it happened they told me that the Mariner Rate should show instead of the Best Price if you entered your mariner number. Why can't they fix this simple issue?
  2. I also get the feeling that HAL is trying to fill their ships for the short term and neglecting the long term. It might not work out for them if people become impatient and go to other cruise lines.
  3. The HIA promo that was supposed to end today has been extended to October 12.
  4. I think your PCC was wrong as hard as that is to believe.
  5. Thanks for all the advice. The highest available cabin on the deck I wanted is a VA. However, I really wanted a specific V cabin which is not available. But, you never know. People cancel. Of course, the VA is still a great cabin and I'm sure I'd be happy with it.
  6. My understanding is that if you purchase Club Orange, they will upgrade you to the highest available cabin in that same category. For example, if you book a VH they could upgrade you to a V. Once you get that upgrade, can you change it again if a better cabin becomes available at a later date?
  7. It could be the $150 OBC that comes with the HIA package. If so, it would be nonrefundable.
  8. Yes, they are the verandah cabin on the Rotterdam. Only the first big picture is from a different ship.
  9. I think the first set of pictures are from a vista or signature class ship. The pictures of the Rotterdam are further down the page.
  10. Sounds interesting. The current HIA promo is set to expire on September 30 so maybe this will take its place.
  11. Waitlists usually clear for late seating which is less popular than early seating. If not, you can probably get late seating by talking to the dining room staff when you get on the ship.
  12. I believe the term "deluxe veranda suite" was used during the late 1990s and early 2000s.
  13. Is there a wait time for breakfast or dinner? Also, how close are the tables to each other? Is it crowded?
  14. Could it be because they will be able to go slower to the first port and save on fuel?
  15. I think the Nieuw Statendam would be closer to the Rotterdam layout.
  16. Anyone know why they are switching from Grand Turk on some cruises but not others?
  17. The Nieuw Amsterdam has also changed the departure time from 4 pm to 3 pm on November 13.
  18. I would assume that the regular HAL crew has been maintaining the ship as they always have during this time.
  19. I think only people in Neptune Suites can eat in the Pinnacle Grill for breakfast. Club Orange is not included.
  20. I think you could choose any available Neptune Suite between SQ which is the highest rate and SC which is the lowest. I would first choose an SA and second choice would be an SB.
  21. Ottahand7, I believe all the TVs on the Volendam were changed a few years ago.
