  1. Perhaps finally a regulation or some benchmark we can apply? I am not familiar with a US industry standard or definition of "all inclusive," but do I take it there is such a standard in Great Britain? Can you provide a link or quote the standard?

I'm not sure there is a standard. Personally my interpretation of "all inclusive" is more about what isn't included rather than what is and my expectation from the very beginning was pretty much as has been announced. No real surprises. I am trying to maintain a bit of common sense. Why would Azamara include all alcohol including more expensive brands at the prices they are charging for cruises? Notwithstanding that for some there are omissions (and the premise that you can't please everyone) I think it is a very good list that includes liquor that can be mixed for some of the more popular cocktails. I really don't see what all the fuss is about to be honest.

  2. My husband and I are huge water drinkers. Don't drink any soda, he might have 1 beer on the cruise and minimal wine in the dining room. On previous AZ cruises, all water was included, even the Evians and Pelligrino's. That was a huge deal to us since we drink it all day long. Now, we have to buy a package or pay for the "premium" waters? I know in the grand scheme of the cruise, it isn't a huge amount of money, but it is just one more thing we have to consider when pricing out and comparing cruises. Very disappointing that this has now come in to play as well.

They haven't been included on my previous cruises either.

  3.

I shall, of course, do my usual cruise review

My advice would be not to let the communication by Azamara of the enhancements sour the anticipation of your cruise. It does sound from some of the dialogue on this board that they've gone to hell in a handbasket, but my experiences have been of a wonderful ship and crew, both of which will hopefully put things in perspective. Please come back and tell us how you got on.

And as a marketing professional myself, I would like them to consider tweaking their strap lines in advertising. I feel a little uncomfortable with the epithet 'all inclusive ' when they will be offering FIVE different beverage packages.

Morning Hazel. I'd agree and that's Azamara's biggest blunder. They messed up calling it "all inclusive" although I have to say that from my own personal point of view and from the start I never imagined that I could go and get my Stoli Elit (which sells for £45+ for a 70cl bottle here) under all inclusive. I actually think the Ultimate Premium Package is a very fair price and offers a sensible choice for those who don't want the standard drinks.

Is any bottled water now complimentary?

Does this mean, only 1 red, 1 white and 1 Rose will be available each day? Then if one doesn't like it, one has to buy a premium wine?

The standard water will still be available as it always has. In the staterooms, around the ship, as you walk off in port. The premium stuff is Perrier for example.

I note you haven't been on an Azamara cruise yet. The situation with the wine is as it always has been too.

  6. Hi

I used Kproxy.com to access the Celebrity US website and can read all the offers, however it doesn't like it when I search for a cruise price, but thanks to a little searching I downloaded Tunnelbear.com which gives you a US IP address for free and was able to access the whole site!

Hi Lisa. I have to say that I have had mixed success with Anonymous Proxy Servers and am reluctant to download a program for it that always seems to want your email address. I have used Anonymouse.org before with success, but it can be a bit slow at times. It is however website based and doesn't need you to download anything. Just type the address in the search bar. It is limited though.

  7. I see what you mean. Anything relating to price takes you to the UK site and the international gateway link doesn't work. Ironically we had an issue on the Azamara site that was the opposite. It wouldn't give prices in GBP. Only USD, but this has been fixed now. I have had some issues with pricing differences in the UK and US there too, but seemed to have things worked out and a line into a US travel agent that helps too. You have to be on the ball!

  8. Prior to being updated the gym included one Concept 2 rowing machine. I'm wondering if anyone recently back from Journey or Quest could tell me whether they or something similar are still there post-refurbishment?

    Many thanks.
