I was on Imagination last month. I believe it opened at 3pm or 4pm while we're docked. We love the Alchemy ♡

Are you referring to the March 17th sailing?

Thank you everyone. We are looking forward to our first B2B after 40+ cruises.

Hello, I am doing a back to back cruise. When I board I am Ruby, 2nd leg I will be Platinum. Will this reflect on my 2nd leg or not until next cruise?
Cheers

Thank you everyone for the helpful info. We live in So Cal so we have cruised many times out of SP just haven't done a B2B yet. I'm thinking we will go get a couple bottles of wine/champs, maybe walk around LB or just stick close as we have seen all the local stuff. We are cruising with a group on first leg and just me and the hubby on 2nd leg.
Cheers :D

Thanks everyone. I'm aware that the casino can not open as long as we're anchored. Just wasn't sure of how Princess does their overnight stay. Looking forward to having more Cabo time :)
Cheers

Thank you. I've read so many different answers. I wasn't sure if we went to sea so casino could open?

Going on the Ruby in March. We arrive at 1pm and depart next day at 1pm. Can someone please give me details if they have done this before? Last time I did a 2 day in Cabo we had to be back on ship and we went out to sea and then came back next day.
Thanks ;)

We were just on the Ruby for NYE and my birthday. Us and our friends next door decorated our cabin doors. I had a bday sign that other cruisers wrote nice words. Everyone that walked by our cabins commented on how much they loved our decorations. We did have one person say Princess was going to charge us lol On last day after we removed our decorations everyone kept telling us that was the only way they could find their cabin. It definitely helped us. Cheers :)

Cruising in December on Ruby Princess. Was wondering if they still have Crab Shack?
-
Do they still do tours of the Pacifico Brewery?
-
We booked in Feb and have already seen 1 price decrease :) I am hoping for more.
They have offered this only once. Don't count on it. However, drink prices on Princess are much cheaper than on Celebrity. The odds of any price drops for a holiday cruise are very slim to none because of the demand. If you're ok with the price, I would book now as prices are likely to go up. However, if you see any price drops before final payment, you can get your fare adjusted.

Thank you. We were on Ruby last September. We did the Crab Shack and enjoyed it. Non of those changes should affect us. We are on anytime dining. Looking forward to trying the Gastropub as well.
We just left the Ruby last week after a great 10-day cruise. A few changes I noticed since we cruised with Princess last year....(more details provided in other posts if you do a search):Sabatini's has been replaced by SHARE (alas). A portion of the Wheelhouse Bar has been converted to the Gastropub. It was a bit of an odd combination having a classical pianist in the Wheelhouse section right next to a supposed "pub" atmosphere! Crab Shack was available as usual.
While I had seen a few posts about the Curtis Stone items in the main dining room, they were definitely not a factor during this cruise. The regular "always available" items, including the salmon, were there as usual. We only missed two nights in the dining room, but on the other nights, only one Stone item was offered-- a seafood chowder. And while there were posters of Curtis around the ship advertising the new restaurant, not a single server or crew member asked us if we wanted to book a reservation there. (We didn't, it wasn't in our budget.)
The swim-against-the-current machine in the Lotus Pool has been removed.
There are a few pixels missing on the MUTS screen, but not enough to impact the viewing experience.
Otherwise, we didn't notice anything different from when we sailed on Ruby a couple of years ago. Crew seemed happy, service levels were good and the food was uniformly tasty and well presented.
Only thing amiss was that we signed up for Early Traditional dining at 6 pm, and once onboard discovered they had moved it to 5:30--- too early for us, so we switched to Anytime. There were the usual lineups around 7 pm, but we were happy to accept a buzzer and wait in VINES. (Where the service was particularly excellent.)

What changes were made to Ruby Princess in Dec 2015? Do they still offer Crab Shack?
-
Great choice. I had that cabin last Sept. I loved the location and of course the extended balcony. We did balcony dining one night and had plenty of room. We didn't experience any noise. We always choose to be close to elevators and stairs for convenience. Have fun. Cheers

Thank you, I am looking at the Adventure April 16th out of San Juan.

Trying to decide what month Feb, Mar or Apr is best to cruise to Southern Caribbean out of San Juan. Did Southern itinerary 2 years ago in April and it was extremely windy from Ft Lauderdale until we returned 8 days later. I understand weather is unpredictable however would love to know others experiences/recommendations. Any day at sea is better than any day at work :)
