We had the similar experience a few years ago. We started in balcony, got bid info and bid, then paid upgrade to spa balcony. Our bidding was still active for Havens, but their system (the 3rd party) still showed our original balcony cabin for several days following. We called the help number at the time. They issued a new upgrade invite email to us, we cancelled the old bids and then placed bids using the new link that showed us trying to upgrade from a spa balcony.
Give them a call and I'd expect they can do the same for you.
When you say call the help number, is that NCL or plusgrade?

So I paid the difference to upgrade to Club Balcony after I had got my bid to upgrade email (as it was less than I would have to bid). I checked the upgrade link after the paid upgrade processed today and I still show the Balcony- spa club options to upgrade. Will those categories update over night to allow to me bid on haven? Anyone have this experience yet?

I was going in to pre pay my EPIC spring break cruise gratuities ( inside room) I saw the below statement- $29 per person per day!?!? Tell me that’s a glitch!
Add Prepaid Service Charges
The convenience of pre-paying service charges allows you to plan your budget prior to your cruise giving you additional freedom while on board. A discretionary charge of $29.75 USD per person per day for all guests 3 years or older will automatically be added to your onboard account. Your service charges will total $416.50 USD for all guests, for your entire cruise. Guests sailing to Hawaii will be charged an additional 4.275% Pre Paid Service Charge GET Tax

You can use it to bid on an upgrade (for a haven experience)- that’s what we did and it was seamless.
we also used our on excursions including a cabana.
sooooo excited to board tomorrow.

At the moment The Encore is sailing with crew only. First passenger cruise will be the 21st of November. People will be able to answer your question then.

They had a few on the Encore in October. The comic/magician was pretty entertaining. Of course, there were some idiots in the audience that were critics.
Was there one in headliners?

Is NCL doing comedians on the boats currently? More specifically the encore?

You make all requests through your butler. Not directly with the restaurant. There is a breakfast card in your room with check boxes. Ignore the check boxes and write what you want.
Egg white omelet (specify your fillings), eggs over easy, filet steak, bacon, ham, sausage, mushrooms, gilled tomato, breakfast potatoes, hash browns, fresh fruit, fresh breads, juices, coffees, and a Diet Pepsi. You butler will bring your food at the designated time and serve it on a white table cloth. We do this on busy port days to save time.
Wow that all looks so amazing. I’m husband is a FL high school teacher and coach. He works harder than anyone! This is going to be such a treat for him and I!
Do we need to answer the door for them to come in? Since we have a 2bedroom I’m fine with the butler coming in and setting things up on their own (we will tip, no worries there).
one person mentioned a little pretip and gift- what gift would be appropriate?

Hey All, I got upgraded to the HAVEN (bid to upgrade) on 11/21 encore! YAY.
Were not huge on room service but the option for a hot breakfast room service each morning sounds perfect. Is it super easy to get a traditional eggs, bacon, toast breakfast delivered in the Haven daily? Can I just tip at the end or should I tip for each delivery?
Any other tips for me to take advantage of?

Are there passengers on the repositioning?

Phew Im on the one After that sailing, its our redemption sailing from a March 2019 that was cancelled 48 hours before. I would have been devastated. We were offered 150% back in 2019 since ours was the first cancelled cruise of covid.
I guess the 11/21 cruise will be the first one back in Miami then, should be a smooth boarding process since the ship will be empty.

Last update: I got the email and they did apply all my FCC which was left and charged the card for the rest of my accepted bid. I believe they missed my husband's small FCC he had remaining but I can use that on a deposit before it expires I'm sure.

Dang it! Just checked my link and looks like I’m getting the Spa Balcony. I’ll take it though because I’m getting if for a minimal bid and wanted to have the spa anyway. Thanks for the tip! I’ll be able to take another cruise with the amount I saved not getting the Haven haha!
The Spa Balcony will be nice, I have never done the thermal suites.
Originally I booked oceanview then called for upgrade 90 days out because price dropped significantly and moved up to a club balcony and got still received money back.
With all the discounts we had applied from our cancelled cruise ( we were on one of the Mar 2019 cruise that was cancelled within 24 hours) I'm actually paying more for the upgrade than I paid for the cruise and gratuities. Ideally I wanted the courtyard penthouse as the 2 bedroom is quite large for the two of us but I'm glad I got one that is in the haven courtyard.

What where you in originally and would you mind sharing what your winning bid was? Congratulations!
(My first time on NCL I was in the Haven Spa Suite and won an upgrade to the DOS on the Escape). The Haven has spoiled me forever!
I had bid just over the $1200 minimum for the 2 bedroom (still way down on the poor category). As of Friday when most of the bids were accepted I did not have a bid on the 2 bedroom, but was low-Fair for all the other Haven options. Over the weekend when I saw only two rooms in each category remained, I placed a low bid on the 2 bedroom and upped all others to high fair range. Was awarded 2 bedroom. I saw the processing on the bid page first. Still no card charge/FCC decrease or email.

Congratulations!!! I’m on the 11/21 Bliss. The upgrade option has disappeared off my NCL page but no email or charge on my card yet. I still see all of the same haven rooms available for booking so we shall see. How did you find out? Did you get an email? The suspense is KILLING me haha.
No email or charge on my card yet. The banner disappeared from NCL reservation page, but my link show processing for the 2 bedroom and expired for the rest. I clicked the FCC box and that should cover a good portion of my bid so I will let you know how that all works in the end when I see it.

It happened! Since we weren’t upgraded in first round I decided to bid on the 2bedroom near minimum and got the 2 bedroom with large balcony for 11/21 encore. Im psyched!

Just curious does plusgrade upgrades on the weekends? I’ve only heard or people getting notified on weekdays. I’ve been playing with my bids all weekend lol.
-
Actually many have said they are filling all haven rooms regardless of capacity.

I am watching the encore 11/21 sailing- a large chuck of the haven rooms disappeared yesterday and I see one person above was upgraded to a non haven room. Oddly there are like 2 rooms in each haven category still open. I thought I bid pretty aggressively (low fair for all but the aft rooms which I was in poor).
I clicked the use remaining FCC button I hope that’s not affecting my chances.
anyone have any thoughts on why they left a few rooms in each haven category open?

I think ive asked this before but cant find it anywhere. If you put an upgrade bid in, and are successful, do you get a chance to cancel it?
The reason i ask is that we are travelling with another couple and we are both happy to put the bid in, but dont want to be separated if 1 wins and the other doesnt. No once accepted you can not cancel
