I still haven’t heard if anyone has used FCC to upgrade yet, there was a box when bidding that said I want to use FCC for my bid. I clocked it as I have a ton! Hoping it works so I won’t be out of pocket but I’m prepared to be out of pocket as well.

Does that ton of FCC expire?? Ours all expires Dec. 31/2021..

same situation. Haven’t heard anyone but I clicked the box. I’m on Nov 21 encore. Bid on all haven categories except 2 room and owners.

My fcc says I need to book by 12/31 so I plan to book after this cruise if a bid is not accepted.

We were upgraded today.  NCL Getaway sailing 11/14.  From a club balcony suite to The Haven Forward-Facing Penthouse with Balcony (HG).  I bid the absolute minimum.  The was a lot of availability in the Haven so I tried the minimum and it worked!

Did you recently put your bid in or change it? Or has it been sitting there?

I didn't realize you could use the 100% FCC towards the bid!! I saw it when I entered the payment option.. So I might bump my bid up a little.

I haven’t heard of anyone that has successfully used it yet- I’ve been asking around and no information yet. I selected the box to use ours and sure hope we can Becuase that’s what I based my bids on:

Same thing happened on The Breakaway....bidding was open for upgrades and the 2bd suites were the highest, then they went on sale as the lowest (of the Haven class)....we got one!

When did they drop the minimum bid? I bid on all but the 2 room and owners on 11/21 encore but would add those if the min was lower. I’ve never been in the haven and really hoping I get an upgrade accepted.

Does anyone have experience upgrading from a “normal” stateroom to Haven re: latitude points?

When upgrading from a “normal” stateroom to the Haven are you given the extra latitude point per night?

No you will receive the same points as you would have in the original booking.

The insurance cost does not change.

If you bid on a Haven room and have already pre-paid your Daily Service Charge, no additional charges. If you have not prepaid your Daily Service Charge, you will be charged the Haven rate.

    Just the amount won.

So this begs the question, how much should you be tipping if you already paid gratuities? I don’t want to screw over anyone working hard.

  7. So it really does seem Friday is the day for upgrades. I’m on thanksgiving cruise encore 11/21. Bid on all but the owners and two room. Chose low end of the fair for all haven categories, usually I’d bid minimum but I feel like this is the year that I’m most likely to actually get a bid accepted and experience the haven for the first time!

I'm thinking I’ll hear about my upgrade on 11/5 since this week those on 10/30 sailings got notice. Fingers crossed!!!!

  8. So it’s looking like our hawaii cruise that we rebooked for July 25 is now getting cancelled. Since we used the 150% FCC To book this cruise (our previous cruise was cancelled last minute), will I get my full 150% fcc back and then an additional 25% on this cruises fare?

Has anyone had this happen yet? My biggest concern is that thet will take away my 50% portion and only give back the 25% bonus as the 50% cert said one time use.

  9. Sorry if this is a duplicate post, I searched as well as went a few pages back. I cancelled my cruise to reprice it 8 days ago. I got my 150% FCCs back but not a credit for the additional $800 I paid when making the new booking. Are the peace of mind cancellation FCCs taking longer than FCC for force cancellation cruises? When my March cruise was cancelled I got the credits within 7 days.

Thank you, I just got this email and if I am reading it correctly, we got the upgrade and they just haven't finished processing it yet.  If I received it I would like to know so I can cancel the priority access that I paid for.  I have until 11:59 pm to do that. Keeping my fingers crossed!

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting us!

You may revise or cancel your Offer through the hyperlink on the offer email before 48 hours of your departure, provided that your Offer has not already been accepted by Norwegian Cruise Line. The processing status means that your bid has been selected for an upgrade and is in the processing queue, therefore it cannot be modified at this time. You will be notified via email once the upgrade has been attempted.

    Have a great day,

    Upgrade Advantage

Yes mine is processing now too.  Looks like we may have won! what cruise are you on?  I am on 3/15 EPIC, the one I have showing processing is a 2 bedroom and I bid the min. $600.

Sailing 3/15 Encore. Awarded our Aft Haven suite today. Upgraded from a CAS comp balcony. This numbers may be skewed due to Coronavirus cancellations - we had 4 available suites this weekend and 26 this morning. The ones we bid on since we have 4 pax - 1 available aft suite and 1 2 BR suite available this weekend, 6 aft and 8 2 BR available this morning.

Bid won at $1,135 PP ($2,270 total). Another passenger on our cruise also in a balcony with 4 pax bid $1,800 PP and also won.

Our 2 BR bid of $1,320 PP was not chosen.

Thanks to those who cancelled, otherwise I wouldn’t have won lol.

I was wondering if the process was going to be paused with all the craziness going on. That’s encouraging. I’m leaving on epic 3/15 and have seen a ton of cabins open up. I bid on everything mimi suite and up but only the minimum bids on haven. I noticed we have a ton of inventory in all those categories. Hope to hear soon.

  12. My flight arrives at 8:40am the day of our cruise from San Juan. We want to do the NcL transfer because they will take our bags but we’re trying to figure out if the transfers will make us wait till a certain time to leave airport since boarding is much later  (heard they are asking people to come after 1pm).

We’re platinum but I still assume boarding won’t start anywhere near when we arrive.

We really just want to get rid of our bags then explore San Juan for the day. Will ncl make us wait at the airport for hours or take us to the port right away?

Any other suggestions to get rid of our bags and go sight seeing? we could taxi to port but wasn’t sure if port will be accepting bags that early either (also I’m aware once at port illl need a taxi to go anywhere).
