  1. Hey...

I just got off the Allure yesterday, and some of the movies I can remember were The Butler & The Hunger Games (Can't remember which one, not a fan... the latest one I would assume).

Thanks! How long was your time in Nassau? When was all aboard? Any affect of the propulsion issues?

  2. Select 40 per day

    Premium 55 per day

    Ultimate 65 per day

Ok so I never hear anyone discussing the package that includes only beer and wine. We purchased this one for our 2/16/14 upcoming cruise. My husband and I drink mostly beer, I like a little wine (no brand preference, just house).

I calculated out the additional cost to get the Premium, $105 PP or Ultimate $175 pp. My thinking is we can get a few fun drinks, lets say 1 per day at $10 and thats still only $70 per person. So I am thinking for us the beer/wine package will allow us to have fun but come closer to break even. Maybe we won't even make that worth it since it takes about 6 drinks a day to break even on that package but I look forward to a week of not worrying about the bill (I paid off the credit card already).

  3. I'm on the 2/16 Allure right before they fix it. What was the old "normal" time in Nassau, when I called and inquired about the proplusion issues and how that would affect our port time they said the time listed will be met, then I relized Nassau was only 7 am - 1pm. I thought about going to Aquaventure but thats pointless in such a shorttime when it really dossn'r get warm out till 10am.

Did you feel like the proplusion issue affected your cruise negatively at all? Due to shortened port times or smoothness of the cruise?

Did you receive any compensation for the delays?

  4. I have been searching around the board but have not found a thread addressing my question. I apoligize if there already is one.

My question is if we booke the Select Beverage package with Royal Caribbean, can we get Margarita's and pay the difference of our wine allowance of $8 bucks? Or would that only work for more expensive wines? Either way I think it will work best for us to stick with Select and buy one or two margaritas than spending an additional $210 to get the Premium package. That $210 can go to the few none beer/wines options we make.

My second question is in the fine print of the package it notes "specialty beers as listed on bar menus" as excluded. Does this mean that basically it will only cover the basic 10 or so beers (bud, bud light, corona, etc.) they carry at all the bars? We are going on Allure, and I heard there is a bar that has an extensive beer selection (many of which I hear are under $8) and I would like to partake in some exotic beers while I have the chance if I am spending the money on the unlimited package. I have heard talk that it may cover ALL beers under $8 served on the ship.

I am hoping to hear from those who have had experience with this package as it seems most opt for the higher priced more inclusive alcohol packages.

Thanks all! 33 days till we set sail!
