A favorite sail away spot for me is the helicopter landing pad at the very front of the ship (Voyager, Freedom and Radiance classes). Most folks don't figure out the way there until later in the cruise. Just go out to the wrap around promenade under the life boats (deck 4 on Freedom) and walk all the way forward. There will be stairs that take you up one deck, continue walking toward the front and you'll soon be at the heli pad with one of the best views on board.
I too love the beak of the ship! Boy was I upset when I found out I couldn't go there on Oasis! I had to do my king of the world picture in another (fake) location.

I loved Funchal!! I was there in November 2009. I plan to pop in again this year! I hope everything is okay after those horrible mudslides earlier this year.
I did the Toboggan Run! :D Enjoy my video!

One way to get others to take your picture is to spot people that seem to want someone to take their picture - and then offer to do that. My experience is that they will in turn offer to take your picture. When I see peopel tarying to get a couple's picture I offer to take it and don't expect any in return - we have so many pictures over the almost 20 years we have been together. :) But if we want both to be in a picture somewhere I wont hesitate asking someone else to take it.
I'm always scared someone will run away with my expensive camera.

We've never done a gay cruise so I am very interested in everyone's opinion! :D

We were on Oasis in March! We didn't make a single reservation for my time dining. That would kind of defeat the purpose to us. We just popped by, usually between 7 and 8 and we got in right away. We only had to wait 10 minutes once on a formal night that had lobster. :D
