We go also in Sept. on Liberty...looking forward to it. What was your experience at ordering in for dinner which is supposed to be a perk?
K missed that it was an acquaintance' cabin. This was very reasonable for the 6 of us. Just a little more than a GS per couple.
If my memory serves me the grand suite doesn’t have a dining table either. Which I feel is necessary in a suite.

Very well done. What was the music accompanying the video??? Would love to know. TXS
It’s called Music for manatees by Kevin MacLeod.
Every video I make with music has credits at the very end. Thank you for watching!

Wow....that's a HUGE space! Very, very nice!
Not as big living space wise compared to the royal suite, but way more beds and baths.

Just spent 21 nights on Freedom of the Seas. Pepper Mills were missing from the Dining Room and Chop. When asked we were told a brilliant mind in Miami removed them from the ship. Occasionally one would pop out from a hiding spot. It's was obvious the staff were sick of the subject.

Currently on Freedom transatlantic heading to Fort Lauderdale.
Just received a letter in our cabin stating that we have to complete this form.
I was on the same cruise. We ended up filling it in unnecessarily. They didn't need it as we were in transit. Better safe than sorry I guess, but it was a waste of time in the end.

Please enjoy my latest video, a tour of the Royal Promenade on Freedom of the Seas!

Promenade cabin for the first time. Normally I get a balcony but back in March, Mother Nature did not want me to enjoy said balcony. I will be a people watcher instead of a sea watcher and not get wet from the sea below or wind burned
I’ve not shot a video of a promenade stateroom...yet :D
I’ve been in one. The couch was under the window. Just remember to close the curtains when changing. Everyone I have spoken to loves the promenade rooms. Enjoy your cruise!

Darn! I was going to ask for a video of the cabin I booked for next year.
I’m curious what category did you book?

If it was the Presidental Family Suite you are in luck. Check my other thread for that video.

Are you on the Freedom right now?

What’s the price tag for that???[emoji855]

I was given the privilege of shooting the video by another passenger, who I befriended on the cruise that was staying in this room. I did not ask the price. I imagine others may know this or you can get a quote on line. :D
My room was a bit more modest....

Good video. I don't understand why Royal Caribbean would remove the drawers near the bed. What were they thinking?
Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Yes the drawers are nice and keep the room tidy looking. The replacement is a 3 shelf thing. Not sure why as potentially things could slide off if the seas were rough. It looks messy when you put lots of stuff on it. Considering there are only 3 drawers in the entire stateroom, the extra drawers by the bed would be appreciated. Cheers! :D

We are booked into 11329 later this year. I was wondering about travel time to get around the ship staying that far back on the ship, for example main dining room. Did you have trouble getting to places/crowded elevators, etc? We sailed the Oasis in 2012, but I spent half of the cruise laid up with a severe case of bronchitits and missed out on most of the cruise. Hoping to have a healthy and happy trip this time!
The main dining room wasn't an issue you get used to walking 1/3 the ship length to the elevators. Walking to the theatre was a distance but I just went to the promenade and it seems to go faster. :D

Here's a video of my B1 - Boardwalk Balcony Stateroom on Allure of the Seas. Room 11327.
Enjoy! :D

We're on navigation deck too. Did you hear much noise from above?
I don't remember any. :D

I'm a bit surprised by this, as the bathroom light is typically the emergency light for the cabin, and should be on a separate circuit from the rest of the lights and outlets.
So was I when the lights went out. Pitch black!

Funny story and I'm sure it happens more often .
Most hotels around the World, and more and more ships use this system.
You can use any plastic card actually, but bear in mind that always leaving the electricity working is bad for the environment and goes against the philosophy of the system obviously...
We used a paper business card and that worked as well. We usually do pull the card when we go out as we are good sailors who love the planet! :halo:

A funny story I would like to share!
On our recent cruise on the MS Koningsdam, my spouse was using his room card in the main power slot to keep the lights on in the room. While I was showering, he went out and took his card with him. After a few minutes the lights went out and I was stuck in the shower in the pitch dark. A loud yipe got my spouse's attention as he arrived back in the room a few seconds after the darkness came. It got me wondering if this happened to someone less able than I, the outcome could have been less than funny. I would have had to fumble in the dark to turn off the water and find my way out of the shower and to the door of the washroom in the dark, totally wet and nakey. Could have been dangerous with slipping a possibility. We laugh about it as it was kind of funny at the time, but these main power slots to save electricity could cause injury to someone in the future. I recommend not using your room card. :D

Nice video and useful for future reference!
Thanks for sharing.
You're most welcome. I don't think anyone is reading my funny story about the room power and shower. I think I will post it as a new post as I am very curious if it has happened to other people. :D
