Thank you for the Thursday Daily, Rich. I try to use common sense and do check my blood pressure regularly. King Tut is certainly fascinating. Woody Allen has a strange sense of humor. I have not been to Martinique. Chicken Florentine sounds nice. My alternative is Orange and Radiccio Salad, Chilled Melon Bisque, and Rosemary Roasted Chicken which I would have chosen on MS Prinsendam November 4, 2017 if I had not been in Canaletto.
Today’s care list:
Welfare of furloughed crews

RoyMy Wife Sheila will have an operation on her arm as the distance between the break is not close enough to knit together to heal so they will use some screws and then she will not have anymore pain when she stands up this time. Some time next week.

Good morning, all! I join those who are not fans of candy corn. We will make sure everything is inside and secure tonight. For those with pets, expect the firecrackers to be used with a heavy hand tonight.
We visited Recife, Brazil in January, 2020 on the Amsterdam’s last HAL voyage. Was that really almost two years ago now? The highlight of Recife was the tour of Olinda, the pretty village up the hill and away from the crime that Recife is famous for.The street angles of Recife make for interesting architecture.
In early times, property taxes were based on the length of a buildings street frontage. As a result, buildings were tall, deep, and very narrow!Views of Recife from the town of Olinda. The name Olinda means beautiful, and it lived up to it!
The down side, or up side? Is the steep streets. They’re actually worse than the pictures show.

Happy Saturday, and I envy those boarding a BHB today!

Good morning. Quick post this morning. I would like to request prayers for my friends Frank and Rita. He is having back surgery on Nov. 3 after having it put off for months. His DW is so stressed. I feel we all have been hermits for the past 18 months.
Prayers and toasts to our lists.
Stay safe, social distance, and wear your mask.
Cremet: (I could not find a photo)
Ingredients
1 L dark rum
50 g sugar
1 fresh cinnamon
whole coffee
1/2 lemonPreparation
Cremat is a popular drink in Catalonia, north east of the Spanish peninsula. It is drunk along the Mediterranean Catalan coast, which is known as "Costa Brava". While it burns, people sing traditional songs called "habaneres". Probably Catalan sailors that traveled from Cuba invented it while on board.Add all ingredients to a terracotta pot. On the side, heat up some rum on the stove. Once the rum is hot, light it and slowly pour it into the terracotta pot. Stir the beverage slowly until 2/3 of the liquid remains, then serve. Serves 8 people.
PRAYERS on the way for your friend, Jim.

Well, we are on our way back to Florida after receiving a call from DD, who lives in the Orlando area, to tell us DSIL tested positive and she has symptoms. The plan is for us to take our two year old DGS to my DMIL'S. (She is in IN until Saturday.) We understand that Leo, DGS, has been exposed and could already be carrying it and we will get him tested, but we feel it's important to remove him from the house. This will also give his parents the ability to rest without having parental duties.
All positive thoughts and prayers are appreciated.
Sending prayers now,
Jim.

Blessed Sunday Daily-ites. Thank you Rich, Roy, and the Daily contributor ladies for food and drinks.
We have been to the Caribbean many times and Castries has great shopping. We're scheduled to be there the day after Christmas this year.
God bless our fishermen and the fleets!
Yesterday we couldn't take the hammering and left for lunch, which turned into Happy Hour as our neighbors were in the restaurant and we gabbed for another hour or so. Got home at 4:30 and they were still jack hammering. So we hopped on Elvis and visited neighbors along the way. There was a little concert going on and we stopped and listened for a bit. Home at 6:30 and the crew was packing up thankfully.
Yesterday my niece adopted a dog from Frosted Faces, a place where senior dogs are adopted out. His name is Rocky and he's adorable.
Please take a moment tomorrow and say a prayer for my boyfriend and hubby. He's having MOHS surgery on his ear in the morning.
Have a great day. Cheers, prayers and blessings.
Prayers for a postive outcome. Jim.
