Lenda, thanks for asking.DD works in non profit management and does not have a medical background. She was overwhelmed by the equipment and the noise in the ICC.Her sister only spoke briefly but she did meet with the main pulmonoligist. Unfortunately, the situation is guarded at best but we are hoping there will be a positive change soon. The hardest part of course was explaining this to Tana's son.The hospitals in our city and NYC are slammed with patients and DD said everyone looked exhausted.
Will say extra prayers that the good Lord grants her healt back,

@StLouisCruisers,Sandi,thank you for your kind words. The situation began with long covid and she found out several months ago that she has idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. That unfortunately carries a very poor prognosis. She doesn't give up under any circumstances and is an example to all of us here with her.
She deserves a break so sending extra prayers to help.

We boarded the Koningsdam yesterday to celebrate birthday #70. Embarkation was very uneventful. We saw the Koningsdam from our hotel balcony early in the morning and walked over just after 11 even though boarding for group A was to begin at 1 pm. After checking our baggage, we got in line behind about 30 people. By 11:30 we were on our way. Putting everything on the Navigator app, including your photo, really expedites boarding. We sailed through the boarding process while many others were stuck at various stations and arrived at the final waiting area where only 4 others were waiting. After a short wait, they began boarding and we were eating sushi in the lido by noon. While eating they announced 5hat the stateroom were ready so we headed there where we found flowers and a cupcake from our kids for my birthday, and appetizers and a ship model from one of our sons and his family as a belated Christmas gift. We headed to a bar, got a couple glasses of wine, and headed back to enjoy the appetizers and cupcake.
sail away was wonderful with great weather and a beautiful sunset as we reached Point Loma.
Very happy birthday and many more.

Good afternoon.
Thank you for today's daily Rich and Roy for the lists.
Interesting days.
Bacon is nice on our full English breakfasts.
With Covid19 we have had to make a lot of last minute changes.
Nice food and wine of the day.
We have been to St Peter Port many times.
It is a tender port.
Prayers for everyone on the care list.
Take care.
Graham.
Ghaham I hope this is not a dumb. Have you tried a full Irish
breakfast. I was raised on them. I do not think I could manage
that today.
Jim.

Yes, exactly the same thing a few years ago. We stopped using a TA all together. I now go directly to the cruise line to book. We don’t use a PCC, and the cruise line’s 800 number has worked well for help on demand. We use cruise air some, and sometimes book directly with the airline.
I know that by not using a TA, we may miss out on some OBC or other perks, but those aren’t enough to offset the convenience of managing our own bookings at our own convenience.
I cant get HAL to have my pcc contact me because the keep telling
me my phone number is invalid its the same number I have used
with HAL FOR 35 YEARS I WAS TOLD TO EMAIL the mariner
soity, does anyone know where to find the EMAIL

Good morning! I'm never at the computer in the morning, but while there, today, I decided to check the Daily on the big screen. I have been reading every day, but not posting for not being able to do so on my phone. I have been able to post on Roll Calls, on the computer, so I'll see if this works, today.
We are planning to be onboard Rotterdam VII from Jan. 9th - 29th, a 14 day and 6 day back to back. There have been several itinerary changes, so the Ship is becoming the main itinerary, which is fine by me. Thanks to Rich and Roy for the Daily, and to all who post each day. I hope this time I can get onboard again.
Enjoy your cruise and relax.
Jim.

Good morning, all! Chocolate Covered Anything is a great day! I may celebrate it by dipping some of the candied orange peel I made in chocolate. Reconciliation Day and The Boston Tea Party are both important.
I won’t be having tilapia tonight, because it’s my birthday and DH is taking me out for dinner. No idea what lol order, but I promise you it won’t be tilapia!
Remember back when the The Beatles first sang ‘When I’m 64’? At that time, 64 seemed so old and impossibly far away. Suddenly, 64:is here, but being old still seems far away! LOL
Sending continued strength and prayers for @kazu Jacqui, Jose, and Jose’s medical team; @HimselfFather with COVID, @rafinmdRoy and his treatment, and all else in our Dailyite family needing extra strength right now.
We have not been to today’s port, but look forward to pictures!
Happy Thursday, everyone. I wish tonight’s celebration was in the Pinnacle Grill of a BHB!
Have a very Happy Birthday and enjoy your Dinner.
