The lunches in the MDR are almost better than the dinners.

We also tip the bus driver if there is one, although less for him than the tour guide.

The windjammer frequently has make your own pizzas, so you can select your toppings.

Try to find a photo online of the aft cabin balcony to help you decide.

If you have made a standing reservation for a specific time and table, then yes, you should cancel it for the night you visit Chops. They will be holding your table for you, waiting for you to show up for MTD, and making walk-ups wait at the door.

It's the casino club. When you get enough points to join, the casino host will approach you to ask whether you would like to join. It costs nothing (except what you gamble of course) and you earn cash rebates off your next cruise and/or complimentary cruises. I don't recall the minimum number of points required but I think you need to play at least $2,000 during your cruise to qualify or 3 consecutive hours a day. I don't recall the exact numbers.
Thanks, I guess my $20 per day doesn't qualify.

We love aft cabins. We have never felt more motion back there.

What is club royale? Thanks for the excellent review.

I went to a travel agency and requested an outside cabin, midship. After paying for the cruise, on my documentation it gave me a room number and cabin type. After logging onto Royal Carribean website tonite, I now have a room at front of ship. Im confused as to why the room would have changed and why if I requested a midship cabin, why i would have been thrown in a front cabin.

You should be talking to your travel agent.

Congratulations on your new position Richard.

A trick I use when looking for this type of info, is to look at other roll calls and ports of call forums. A phone call to RCI is useless, because their telephone call centre employees have no idea of this information.

We sailed out of Baltimore in December a couple of years ago. We were only cold the first and last days.

Thanks for the limo recommendation.

Where does the ship dock in st. Thomas?

Will be on MSC Lirica from Dubai on 15th March. Did a similar cruise last year but was unable to see all the sights at the various ports of call so am making a return trip. As a solo traveller I tend to opt for the organised excursions. In Abu Dhabi one of the options is Afternoon Tea at the Emirates Palace Hotel. It seems a bit pricey at £88 so would appreciate feedback as to whether others who have done this think it worthwhile.
Thanks in advance for your help

When we were in Abu Dhabi two years ago, many people booked the high tea and were disappointed as they didn't use tea pots, just put the bag in the cup! Not worth the high cost.

Hi All!
So I just booked Enchantment for next week 1/17 sailing. This will be my first cruise as Diamond member, so I'm NEW to the club.
I am bringing someone with me who is not diamond, so my questions is... Can we both go to the diamond lounge and I just pay for her drinks, and enjoy my free drinks?
Not trying to break any rules, but honestly I just didn't know if that was aloud or not?
Also, does anyone know if Desmond (sp?) is on this ship?
When my friend's travel companion was not allowed, I think he only had 2 cruises, my friend simply wrote a letter to the captain and to the loyalty ambassador saying DYKWIA, and RCI not only granted the companion access on that cruise, but granted the newbie the same status on the next cruise. Even handed out the appropriate loyalty pin to both.

I have never seen Motts Clamato juice on board. I have taken it on board with me and had a bartender make me a Caesar with it. Nothing like a Caesar and the Clamato has to be Motts.

We have a cruise out of Harwich, which is quite far from Heathrow, and we want to use cruise transfer. Given luggage, it is just easier. So, our flight coming in is fine...we arrive very early am same day of cruise. But after cruise we are staying in London 3 days.
Royal says we need a flight the same day cruise ends in order to use their cruise transfers. We are fine with just being dropped off at airport then taking tube to hotel. Do I just "tell" Royal I am on a flight even though I am not? Thanks!
Yes,tell them a flight #.

I'm doing a little digging into this, and I am now confused about coverage.
Examples:
- AAA(CAA in Canada) emergency travel insurance only covers $5,000 for emergency evacuation.. hardly adequate
- AirMed (a suggestion from an earlier post) only uses fixed wing aircraft, and does not reimburse you if you use another service - it's not an insurance policy, but it's a plan to cover usage of their own aircraft. Helicopters are not fixed wing.
Why does insurance have to be so cryptic and confusing...
I have insurance through gov't and private sources, but I want a little extra for emergency evacuation.
I'm Canadian also. I have excellent out of country benefits thru my employer, but I purchased supplemental insurance thru Johnson and I believe I am covered for up to $5 million for medical and evacuation costs. I pay by the month.

I just booked the Singapore - Dubai - Istanbul legs, from May 3/15 to June 1/15 and am so happy. On completion of these cruises, we will have sailed around the world. :)

Ok, so I know this topic has been discussed a lot all throughout the boards here on cruise critic, but I wanted to get some new information.
I have sailed a few times but NEVER decorated our cabin door. This time though, I'm seriously considering it after reading and seeing all the photos of decorated cabin doors. I personally love seeing them on the cruises I have been on. I'm just curious....what are some of your cabin door decorating theme's and ideas. Where do you get your decorations? Are they magnets or do you tape/stick them on by other means?
Feel free to share your cabin door pictures!
use magnets, that way, no damage is done.

My question was in terms of bringing it on the ship at boarding through the metal detectors, not at ports. Thanks for all the comments!
they also use metal detectors at all of the ports.

RCI doesn't post the time of their transfers. You complete a debarkation form telling them your flight time and they will tell you what time to leave the ship. I think a taxi was around $30 plus tip, a couple of years ago. Depending on the day, you might encounter rush hour traffic. A 1045 am flight might be cutting it close. They usually want you at the airport 2 to 3 hours in advance of an international flight.
