In Budapest, we stay at the Sofitel Chain Bridge. This was booked through AMA. They will transfer us from the ship to hotel. At the end of our 3 days, AMA will transfer us to the airport.

We leave for Prague on the 14th. All of our transfers, and hotels in Prague and Budapest are through AMA. We will have 2 days on our own in Prague where I have booked private tours with Tours By Locals. After that we will start our 3 day pre-cruise with AMA. At the end of the cruise, we have 3 nights on our own in Budapest. We will do two private tours with gabriella@privatetoursbudapest.com. In my opinion, AMA prices for transfer, and hotels were reasonable. From my correspondence with AMA, their optional excursions seem to be a reasonable prices also. I will post upon my return, early May, helpful info.

But in fact you won't need those vouchers: when you arrive, someone will have your name on a clipboard and you'll be good to go.

I understand that we may not need the Voucher, however I like to travel with receipts and vouchers just in case we would be questioned. When I booked Gate to Gate at the Frankfurt, they said voucher should not be needed, but ever now and again a driver will request.

Our docs arrived from AMA. We leave two weeks from tomorrow. Glad the docs arrived. In the box we're very important items that we would definitely need I. E. vouchers for transfer to and from airports, hotel vouchers, and coupons for on board credits.. There is also an itinerary guide, which lists all excursions and optional excursions. There is also an information book on areas. Plus, awesome luggage tags.

The AMA documents and stuff is very nice (especially the luggage tags) -- but you don't NEED any of it. When you arrive at the ship no one will ask you for show any of them -- they will be expecting you and greet you with a big welcome.

If your sailing shortly with AMA, you might want to watch closely when you will receive your docs. I called earlier today, and they told me they were changing systems, and running behind. We leave on on the 14th, and have mail problem in our neighborhood. They finally after some discussion agreed to send them today. I would suggest watching your dates carefully.

I think the sq quoted includes the balcony. They can not add balcony to width due to the locks.

It been over a year ago when I did my research, but I thought the staterooms/balconies on Viking were much smaller than the ones on AMA. If my memory serves me correctly, the Aquarium rooms were really a better size than a lot of the others on Viking. Please correct me if I am wrong.

It appears from my research, that some lines take the balcony out of The room, thus you room size decreases substantially. I understand that none of the balconies compare in size to an ocean cruise. They are just large enough for two chairs. Also consider what happens if your rafting, although some seem to enjoy making friends or having drinks with folks on another vessel.

Our fly schedule showed same, arriving and departing from terminals 1. When I looked at diagram of terminal 1, I quickly realized how large it was, and I also realized that it was on many levels. Yea you can request a cart, however as one person stated they had to wait at one point for the cart to arrive. In addition they had to transfer to several carts. When I looked at flights to Prague, if we missed connections, next fly was 4 hours later. I really don't want to miss the connection on our return from Budapest as it is Frankfurt to Orlando non stop. Saying all of this, hopefully it will be monies well spent.

I have just booked (NOT INEXPENSIVE) gate to gate service at the Frankfurt airport. With only 90 minutes to make a connection, I felt this would be wise not knowing the airport and having to clear passport control. If your not familiar with the service, you can find it on the Frankfurt airport site. http://WWW.frankfurt-airport.com. My instructions say, they will either met at arrival gate or at bus arrival if land on apron.
