  1. The Dawn does not have a Haven restaurant but suite guests have breakfast and lunch in a specialty restaurant which does offer cappuccinos at no extra charge.
  2. If you would like to try something different, and don't mind going vegetarian for a meal or two, check out the Cauliflower Steak in Ocean Blue and the Napoleon de Legumes in Le Bistro. They are really special!
  3. Arrange this before your cruise. Contact https://www.ncl.com/about/accessible-cruising
  4. We used toplimohawaii and were very pleased. It's about 90 dollars. You can do it cheaper with some of the shared services or a taxi. Google honolulu airport cabs and a ton come up. Aloha!
  5. As of our last Encore cruise in November, they did not have anything like Seedlip. Maybe someday! In the meantime it's all pretty much Shirley Temple type drinks.
  6. For us the best platinum perks are the two specialty dinners (for two), one with a bottle of wine, and the two free bags of laundry! (one for each of you)
  7. Just returned from 3 wonderful weeks on Encore! Every restaurant has some kind of vegetarian option, even if not specifically on the menu. Probably the most hard core non-veggie is Cagney's. The chef made me an entree risotto, it was wonderful. Another time I just had several of the vegetarian side dishes. Once I even ordered a cheese pizza from the Children's Menu! Ocean Blue has a delcious cauliflower steak with some out of the world spices. Scrumptious! Never had a problem with tweaking a menu into a vegetarian delight!
  8. Pretty sure this is what is now called the Onboard Service Charge. Not new, still $20 or $25 depending on category of cabin.
  9. We were given this by friends on our Pride of America cruise and it was really wonderful. The cake was huge and delicious. YMMV
  10. They do have some nice treats! https://www.ncl.com/onboard-gifts/gourmet-treats
  11. Havens have the Nespresso system.
  12. At Le Bistro I always get the Napoleon de Legumes, since I am vegetarian. It is really delicious!
  13. I loved seeing little glimpses of Coco's, one of my favorite spots!
  14. I like them both, choices are similar, however the bread at Onda puts it over the top for me! Instead of the usual basket of bread, you get three different kinds of bread and three different dipping options! Scarpetta's bread basket with stromboli, plus butter and mascarpone, caponata, lemony olive oil.
  15. I have done this several times when I booked the cruise too late. The times didn't change online but when we boarded the correct times were in a letter in the stateroom.
  16. Hey! I resemble that remark! 🙂
  17. I love that guy! And you are correct about the all caps!
  18. ColeThornton is correct about Scootaround. One great bonus of using them is that they have a table right at the port, downstairs so you can drive the scooter right onto the ship. And if you are returning to Miami, same deal.
  19. That's the ship where I had the cheese plate!
  20. Last time I checked it was $6 a bottle. That was 2022
  21. Do you eat cheese? Le Bistro offers a gorgeous cheese plate for dessert. I don't eat meat and Cagney's has always been very helpful subbing extra sides. Bon voyage and bon Appetit!
  22. Joy suites are a different animal and their perks have changed over time. From what I understand the suites in the Jewel class still have the usual perks, minus the enclave.
  23. If you are both platinum you get two free bags of laundry.Just write your name, cabin and PLATINUM on the ticket. You can get a lot in those Haven bags. They press laundry tags into the clothing to keep them organized. They come back folded nicely in a wicker basket.
