Just checked in today for our Nov. cruise. One of the health questions was "have you received a booster shot" in addition to the 2 vaccinations. No one has said that was a requirement, but happy we're up to date with 3 boosters never-the-less. From other posts/threads some comments indicate there's more cases onboard ships than I thought.
I also wonder if the notification the group leader received is a 'standard group form' issued to every 'group' large or small; perhaps the issuer/system hasn't caught up to the latest evolution of standards?
That's strange - I checked in this morning for our November 12 cruise and did not encounter any health questions. Just a pop-up detailing the latest procedures.....

Jim, that is a cool trick! Thanks for sharing.
One word of caution - these assignments can change based on emergency situations. We were looking forward to departing from Terminal 25 on our Edge cruise last March. On our way to Port Everglades, we received a text that the departure terminal had been changed to 19 and to proceed there to drop our luggage. We were also advised that we would be returning to Terminal 25 and to park our car at the mid-port deck adjacent to 25 and shuttle back to check-in at 19.
Apparently Equinox had some sort of maintenance issue (broken water pipe, I think) that required it to return to port early and berth at 25. It made me realize how spoiled we had been with 25. Not only does 19 lack the aesthetic and comfort, but the computers crashed, resulting in long delays.
All that to say, the OP is probably in good shape since there are no other X ships in port that day, but just wanted to point out that the assignments are subject to change.

I have been engaging in similar speculation regarding my current pending moveup offer on a SS on our upcoming cruise in early November. Of course I understand that it is entirely possible that we might get one of the two S3's currently available, but I sure would prefer one of the four S2's or the one S1 that are currently available.

We are negative ✔️✔️
the air went out of the balloon of stress😵💫😬
Next stop is the jacuzzi, need some warm water to “land” the body.
I have been loving your awesome review and so happy that your adventures with Mr. Norwaylady may continue without interruption. Can’t wait to hear more!

DH and I sailed in 12105 on Edge. No noise issues whatsoever. Balcony was small and cramped with oversized furniture, but we felt the rest of the suite made up for it!

This is my first time submitting a Moveup offer. We are a bit over 60 days out from our cruise, and I submitted a "Strong" offer to go from AQ to SS. Today I checked available cabins, and it appears that there are only 4 AQ available, but 11 SS, 3 CS, 1 RS, and 1 PH suites available.
Depending on the number of other offers and regular reservations that might yet occur, that seems like an encouraging inventory situation for my bid? Or is it too soon to start obsessing? 🙂

Yup, though it takes a heck of a lot less time these days with fuller ships (takes maybe 10 min, even when breaking down by cabin class and deck, using the List View method).
When doing it this way, as I say, you can only claim to know the maximum # of cabins that might be booked based upon visible remaining inventory. There may be inventory still held in group blocks and not yet released, or by held back X for other reasons (e.g., quarantine areas).
For my cruise, 28% show available now, so we know actual bookings now must be 72% or less.
Thank you! I was hoping for an easier way….

Mock bookings for 31 Oct Reflection show maximum load so far at 72%. May be lower, of course.
Curious how you are able to arrive at % of capacity? Is it a manual exercise of counting cabins showing available?

Mine looks the same, but when I scroll down I see the transaction upgrading the basic internet and drinks packages. Did you upgrade? Perhaps the initial all-included are cancelled when you upgrade?

I am booked in an AQ cabin on November 12 Apex sailing and have not received any communication re Moveup. However, I have been checking periodically on the link under “Manage Reservation.” The first few times, I got a message to wait until 21 days out. But yesterday, I was able to submit an offer for a SS.
YMMV, as I have no idea why it worked for me yesterday, since we are still 60+ days out!

Usually, but there is currently an offer that waives the “single supplement” for selected cruises for a limited time. I found this list of available cruises, but the best way to tell for sure is to start a booking for one online or to contact your TA.

Horizon was one of our first cruises in 1994, and we still talk about our amazing waiter Nenad! Sad to see her go.

Uh oh - I am in the same boat, so to speak, for our upcoming Apex cruise. Need to be accessible for work.
On our November 2021 Apex cruise, the premium internet was great. But we were in a Sky Suite with a router (or whatever the gizmo is called) in the closet, and the ship was at less than 50% capacity.

That is a nice upgrade, congrats!

I thought about the DST change - fortunately it’s the week before our ship departs on 11/12 so Florida time and Cayman time will be the same.
I odn’t know if November seas are calmer are rougher! We also stop at Belize two days earlier, another tender port, so I’ll have a sense of how things are - not that they are close to each other, but still.
Great question! We are on your sailing and had not been to GC or Belize in many years. Need to start thinking about what to do there.
See you on our Roll Call thread!

Success! After a hold of less than 2 minutes, I was connected with a CC representative who helped me with upgrades to both my beverage package and internet. I am still not able to figure out exactly how they calculated the charges, but ended up being less than I had calculated, so who am I to argue?
The costs quoted below are the charges to upgrade one person (with Elite discount of 15% on beverage package and 30% on internet) for a 7-day cruise:
Classic to Premium Beverage: $90.72
Basic to Premium Internet (one device): $62.93
And while she mentioned that our cruise had been booked through a TA when reviewing the details, that did not preclude her from completing the transaction for me.
I had a hard time finding the right number and was helped by a post here on CC. So I'll pay it forward and share here: 800-760-0654.
Good luck!

I tried to do this yesterday, spent 25 minutes on hold with Captain's Club before an agent picked up. He seemed very unfamiliar with the process and eventually quoted a price to upgrade that did not agree with my calculation. When I asked him how he had calculated the figure, he was not able to explain.
I gave up and will try again today.....

Did X discontinue priority boarding for higher CC tiers? I recall that as a benefit some years ago, but don’t see any mention of it currently.

Yes. I did it last week.
Thank you!

Tiki_Man are looking at booking an upcoming cruise on Apex, but not sure how availing ourselves of Captain’s Club benefits works. If we book through our TA (to get Virtuoso OBC), can I still contact the Captain’s Club myself to request beverage package and internet package upgrades with the CC discount?

Z1ggy,
There is a “sticky” thread at the top of the first page of this board that contains information about cabins on S-class ships. The first post includes a link to a spreadsheet with specific information about individual cabins, including bed placement.
Others may be able to provide definitive confirmation, but I think that the cabin layouts are identical from ship to ship, so if you find your cabin number, but on another ship, the bed placement would be the same. Also, the placement alternates, so if you find the cabin next door to yours on the deck plan but not yours, the bed placement would be opposite that.
Here is a link to the thread:

Hope this helps!

Congratulations and thanks @Kteacher🥂
Sounds like you enjoyed the Veuve dinner as well!
Your ears must be ringing @Jim_Iain ... Inspector Gadget (AKA Dr. Logi AKA @DJ's DH) has started phase two of packing which includes HDMI cables and all other possible modes of connection and communication. I told him to add the Firestick so we can watch youtubetv. "Genius" was his reply🤣
We're in search of our "suite" spot on a mainstream line as we love SeaDream. The only problem, first world of course, is that they spend a short time in the Caribbean and when they sail those dates don't work for the "retired" one.
So this test drive, if you will, is how the "ship within a ship" concept works for us.
We don't need all the bells and whistles ... We need a place to reconnect and recharge.
Wishing you and DH a great cruise and will be interested to see how you think X compares to SD. Until COVID, our line of choice was SD, but now my DH would prefer to drive to the port rather than fly.
We have recently sailed on Apex in a Sky Suite and Edge in a Royal Suite and felt the service in The Retreat was similar to SD. And the extra room in both suites was wonderful, but the Royal Suite truly fabulous!
While we missed the feeling of being on our own yacht, the variety of activities and dining options was a plus for X.
Looking forward to following along. And love the tip about grand mimosas!
Bon voyage!

Mrs Tiki ~ you are so sweet....why don't you and Mr. Tiki book this cruise and come along? I just checked and I see a 1A available! That way you can meet Kwis29 and Mr.Kwis in person!!!!
We've sailed Equinox more than any other Celebrity ship. Can't wait to be onboard in less that 48 hours!!!
I am so tempted! Hope that you all have a marvelous trip. Happy to know that you have enjoyed Equinox in the past - we have never sailed on her.

Are Vax and Unvax differentiated on Celebrity now that everyone can cruise?

I figured it out - the health questions were on the app. I was checking in earlier on my laptop.
