I happened to stumble upon these two discussions today... https://goo.gl/q0JEek (I had to shorten the url because it stars it our for some reason... and http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2494217
If the Rhapsody and Grandeur are, in fact, for sale, that means the rest of the Vision class will be down in the Gulf. Since Royal Caribbean has a multi-year agreement with the port of Baltimore, who could replace her? The clearance of the shortest bridge going into the port (FSK bridge) is 185'. Do any ships have a height less than 185'? Radiance class maybe? I would assume that they wouldn't move Majesty or Empress up to Baltimore...
More details (this is definitely the Grandeur):
a little late answering ---but the Enchantment would fit under nicely and has in the past
do not see RCCL leaving 1 of there most lucrative ports

That is beautiful!

For those who have been on Summit...which side of the ship was toward the ocean? Was the Breakaway in port with you?
-
JKF Library is very interesting if you are into something like that.

Thanks!

Going on Equinox in October...does anyone have that wonderful rundown of impt. staff?
I see that John is moving over to Eclipse for TA.
-
Any word on impt. staff on Equinox?
-
Monica Gomez has moved to the Solstice as Guest Relations Manager.
Also, Raluca has returned to Equinox as Captains Club hostess, replacing Maila, who will move to Eclipse as CC hostess after her vacation.
Loved Monica on our recent Equinox cruise. Does anyone have a list of key staff for the Equinox in March?
-
Can someone tell me if Diamond and above get vouchers for 3 drinks or do they still only have the Diamond Lounge for drinks?
-
I noticed on the Celebrity Eclipse the fashion was quite nice. Even though they no longer have formal night and subbed with Evening Chic, folks looked nice. Maybe it was the age or the fact it was 2 weeks long the dress was very nice:)
Happy!

Hey Nancy, Haven't been on in ages. Still cruising as much as we can. We just got back in the fall from a 2 week cruise from QC to Florida...great repositioning! Went from freezing snowy weather to warm weather. Canada was so beautiful though even in our woollies:) It was a bit tough on Steve though. We knew he needed heart surgery two weeks before we left and he wouldn't cancel. The good Lord was looking out for him.He came back and had open heart surgery 2 days later. Now we are getting ready for our 2 week Caribbean cruise. He is doing great and working out in rehab now. Ready to get out of this sweatshirt and being a Caribbean Fashionista again! I learned so much from your travel organizing tips and still use them!!! Peggy

Cosmo and Appletini are on the list. Mostly it is Highballs using Vodka, Gin, whiskey, rum ,and a mixer. A couple of beer choices also.
UGH:( maybe we will meet a nice bartender who can help us out:)
-
The voucher will also list the drinks available.. it is a short list..
Is a martini on the short list? Seems like RCL does such a better job with their loyalty program. We are not big drinkers, but do love our tinis at 5:)
-
Thanks! I guess we will find someone at one of those bars who can make us our martinis.
-
Can you use your Elite status vouchers in the Martini Bar?
-
We usually enjoy all of our food on RCL. Occasionally we hit a miss. I do love the omelets for sure and the raisin bread is a fav of ours. Hubby goes down to get some each morning to have with coffee before our day begins:) Hint: That bread runs out fast!

Sounds like Diamond members have no need of purchasing a beverage package
as long as they take good care of the lounge staff? Just wondering.
We enjoyed a beverage package during our last cruise before turning Diamond.
Hi Philly Steve, We are still enjoying our gift exchange gifts from you guys!!! Hope you guys are continuing to enjoy cruising! We are excited to be going on a Snowbird Migration Cruise in Oct. from Quebec City! Take care! Peggy

Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences and opinions. We will be on the SOS for 2 weeks in the fall and I am very excited. I enjoy reading the good, bad, and ugly reviews. I find that sometimes I agree and sometimes I am scratching my head. Whatever the case I am on vacation cruising along and loving it! No cooking, dishes to wash, laundry to do, etc....
Find your own joy and go for it!
