So can you only choose from the 7 drinks on the mocktail menu?

Just read your entire review today and it was incredible. I was wondering what the trick was that your grandfather taught you on how to increase your chances of getting your card picked for the scavenger hunt?

i plan on getting the soda and more package when we cruise the ruby feb 10-15th. My wife and i are not big drinkers so i am not quite sure of the names of alot of drinks you could get with the card. We cruised with princess 4 years ago and at sailaway we each had a dirty banana which was really good but that was it for the week. Could you please give me names of drinks that can be ordered under the mocktail package. I will print it out and take it on the ship with me and will attempt to try them all. Thanks

I would try to put it in your luggage if you can. We cruised on the Ruby 4 yrs ago and i put a luggage tag on a 18 pack of coke and it never made it to the room.

Asking a princess rep if the price they have advertised on their website is only for new bookings is a general question. She kept telling me she cant make any changes to my reservation cause i have a ta and my only point was i didnt want any changes made to my reservation i just wanted a question answered and that was it.

Loved your review. How do you go about starting the scavenger hunt? My wife and i are taking our 2 kids on the Ruby in Feb and think this will be a fun activity to start the cruise.

I agree. It wasn't like she sighed loudly one time. I was on the phone with her for probably 5 minutes and she did it probably 8-10 times so i commented on her doing it and then asked for a supervisor. I think she should be able to answer a general question about whether the new price was only for new bookings or not even if i have a ta.

There was a price drop on our cruise on the Ruby Feb 10-15 so we called our ta and asked her to check into it to see if we could save some money. She emailed and said it was only for new bookings and there was nothing she could do for us. Of course I had to check for myself so I called Princess today and after being on hold for 20 minutes got a lady who would tell me nothing because we have a ta. I told her i just have a general question for you and i want to know if the new price is only for new bookings. She kept sighing into the phone loudly so i told her to get me a supervisor. The supervisor came on and explained to me in 1 minute that it was new bookings only and i would lose half the money on my booking if i rebooked so it didnt make sense. I told him thanks thats all i wanted to know but the other lady wouldnt answer my question. He said for the trouble he will be sending my wife and i to crown grill or sabatini's during our cruise and thanked me for choosing princess. Could not have been more helpful or nicer.

Well it would be 120 for the 4 of us plus another 30 in onboard credits but i think you are right that its not worth the hassle.

I recently posted that i found a better deal on a travel website on our ruby cruise feb 10-15th. I contacted our ta and she said it was a flash sale and there was nothing she could do. I checked today on Princess's website and the cruise was just lowered today $30 per person(4 of us). I contacted my ta and told her Princess just lowered the fare on their own website and she said this is just a flash sale also so there is nothing she can do. Is this correct or is it time for a new ta?

Our travel agent booked us on the Ruby Feb 10-15th. The price we were given matched the price of the princess website and was the same as other websites i checked for 2 inside cabins. I checked some other travel websites today and the price came down 30 dollars per person plus you get a 50 dollar on board credit per cabin. Could we cancel now and book with the travel website i found or are we stuck now? Its not that much money (about 220 dollars with the on board credits) but every little bit helps. I contacted our travel agent but havent heard back from her yet.

We will be on the Ruby with our kids Feb 10-15. First cruise for are kids who are 11 and 7. My 11 year old son keeps asking what there is to do in the kids club area. Does anyone know specifically what kinds of activities there are to do in the club? Do they just stay in that area or do they do activities in different areas of the ship? Would he be in the same area as his sister if she decided to go in there?

I probably should have mentioned it will be my wife and i and our 2 kids (11,7)

Lot of great ideas. We are flying southwest so not sure if they do the easy check or not. We fly out on a sunday.

The ruby comes in at 7am and our flight doesnt leave til 6pm. What could we do near the airport considering we will have all our luggage with us?

Is there a better way other than cell phones to communicate with your kids on the ship? Would walkie talkies work on a ship?

I am looking for any tips i can get on cruising, be it packing or the best meals or the best place to go on the ship. We are booked on the Ruby feb 10-15. so there was no noise from the art gallery? I had read a post from someone that there was pounding all day from the gallery hanging different pictures.

We have booked these 2 rooms on the Ruby for the Feb. 10-15 cruise. Just wondering if anyone has stayed in these inside rooms and has any info on them. Our travel agent put us in these and i noticed they are right next to the art gallery. It is also very low on the ship and i have read some posts that the lower you are you will hear more ship noise. Thanks for any help.
