  1. We have been on the ruby twice but always take a noon flight or later. We have a nice breakfast and take a walk around the ship enjoying it one more time before we leave. We now have booked the regal for january 18th and the only flight back we could get without waiting til 6pm is at 10am. How do we make sure we get off the ship early enough so that we can make our flight. We are a little nervous about that early of a flight. Thanks

  2. We have only cruised princess but would like to try oasis of the seas in feb. My 11 year old has a peanut allergy and princess was really good every night we went to the main dining room our waiter and the head waiter and manager kept coming to the table checking on him and running back to the kitchen after he put in his order to double check ingredients. I would assume it would be the same on the oasis but would like to check before we book anything. They sent us a email just before our last cruise to let us know the ship has been notified about his allergy. Anyone with food allergies and how do they treat these issues on the oasis? Thanks

  3. We have never sailed rci before as we have always cruised princess but are seriously thinking of the feb 7 cruise on the oasis. Dumb quesion but what is "the hump" that i have read about. There would be 4 of us cruising: My wife and i and our 2 children(12,8). We would like to insides right next to each other. I called today to check on inside cabins and we were given choices on deck 3,9,10,or 11. Any goods or bads to cabins on these decks? We are very excited with the possibility of cruising the oasis and are weighing all our options right now. Rci just seems to have much more than princess for our kids to do. Thanks for any help.

  4. We went a few years ago and we used peat taylor. It was excellent. He picked us up at the pier and we went to the falls. When that was over he took us on a tour and we stopped at a schoolhouse. We had brought glue sticks, coloring books, crayons, and a bunch of other items for the kids cause he told us we could stop there if we like. The kids were so cute and kept saying "hello tourists and thank you so much tourists" he then took us to the white river and we grabbed our tubes and had a relaxing ride down the river. Then he takes you back to the dock. It was a great excursion.

  5. Ok i am a total newby to the rci boards as we have only cruised princess but are thinking of going on the oasis in feb. So the soda package is 6.50 a day and is that only soda? Princess has a soda only package and a soda and more package where its soda, virgin cocktails, smothies, shakes, bottled water and whatever else for 8.00 a day. Does the oasis have something like that and what would the cost be? Thanks so much.

  6. That is one of our options. We are either going on the caribbean princess next feb. Or we will try the oasis of the seas. Seems like alot of the food venues are not included in the cruise price. There does seem like alot to do tho which our kids (12,8) would love. It is such a tough decision but the oasis is quite a bit more expensive also.

  7. Are they new release movies that you can lay on a chair and have some popcorn or cookies and watch under the stars? My kids love that. Are there any other major differences between the oasis and princess that you are aware of? We dont know anything about royal caribbean but have heard good things and love the pictures of the oasis.

  8. We are looking at the caribbean princess that leaves on feb. 14th 2015 and one of the islands we would really like to go to is turks and caicos. The itinerary says that its princess cays, st. Maarten, st. Thomas, and turks and caicos. When you actually click on it instead of turks and caicos it says nassau bahamas. How do i know which one is right?

  9. Big debate on this. A lot of people have complained how cold the pools are on the Ruby. We were on the Feb 10-15th and most days the water was cool but after you were in for a couple of minutes it was fine. The last sea day the water was absolutely freezing and nobody would go in them. I don't know why they were so cold that day but for most of the cruise they were not too bad.

  10. Don't know what time your flight leaves but we got off the Ruby feb 15th with no problems and took a shuttle to the airport. When we got to the airport we could not believe the line to get thru security. We were in line a hour and a half but if your flight was coming up they would pull you out of the line so you could make your flight.

  11. Are there any major differences between these 2 ships? I thought i read a post that they took away the mini golf course on the caribbean princess. My family just got off the ruby and my 11 year old son and i played alot of mini golf. Just wondering what the differences are between the 2 ships?
