Wondering if anyone has done this tour and your thoughts about it. It gets mixed reviews on tripadvisor. Goes to Hell, the Turtle farm, the Old Homestead, the Governors Residence and then drops you off wherever you want at 7 mile beach. Doesnt seem bad for 30 buck per person. Any thoughts?

We have used Moby Dick twice and they were awesome.

Thanks for your help. Did you set it up beforehand or can you just go there and fish in case our son changes his mind? I read a review that its very rocky and they kept getting snagged and to bring a bobber along to avoid that. Did you have problems with snags? Thanks again.

For those of you that have stayed in the sideways rooms did you like them more than the lengthwise ones? Any advantages to those rooms compared to the other ones? We have cruised 3 times with Princess and our TA booked us in a sideways cabin and we are not sure we will like it. Thanks

Did they show any movies and do you remember what they were?

Did they show movies anywhere on the ship at night like Princess does with MUTS?

Were they newer movies? Also if you are going to eat in the main dining room for dinner each night do you have to set that up before the cruise or is that just for the specialty restaurants?

We will be going on our first Norwegion cruise Feb 7. I'm doing as much research as I can and keep reading all of the different names of restaurants on this ship. Could someone tell me which restaurants are the free ones and which ones you pay for and how much they are. Thanks

Guess nobody stays on deck 5.

We have booked our first Norwegion cruise for Feb 7th on the Getaway. Our ta put us in room 5615 and we also have the next room. When i looked at the plans it looks like above us on deck 6 are the le bistro restaurant, cafe in the Atrium, and Bar in the restaurant. Seems like it might be a little noisy above us and wondering if we should try to change to a different deck. Any thoughts?

Could someone tell me the operating hours for the water slides, ropes course and the rock climbing wall on the Getaway. Thank you

I am doing as much research as I can before I possibly book a cruise on the Getaway. So if I am correct there in only 1 main pool and kids are not allowed in it but there is a small kids pool as well? I have looked at hundreds of photos of the Getaway and the main pool looks like a madhouse with people packed in everywhere. I have seen pics of i think 4 hot tubs by the main pool as well. Are kids allowed in these? Our kids love to hang out in the pool and hot tubs all day and watch MUTS as we have only cruised Princess before. So for those of you that have been on the Getaway is it usually packed by the main pool? Thanks

Was there a height and or weight limit for the slides? I read there was a 48 inch height requirement for the water slide where you drop straight down but then i read you also have to be 99 pounds.

So will they not be showing movies on the escape since it will be adult at all times? Will they show movies somewhere else?

Do they have the interactive tv's so you can see your bill on the tv and monitor it while you are on the cruise?

We have 3 Princess cruises under our belt and have a 4th booked. Have never cruised with anyone else. Wondering if anyone has cruised Norwegion (specifically the Norwegion Getaway) and could tell me some of the differences. Princess is so great with my sons peanut allergy and I'm hoping Norwegion would be the same. Our kids are 12 and 8 and the Getaway has the water slides, rock climbing wall, and the ropes course. We are considering it but dont want to change and be disappointed. Do they have something like MUTS? Any help from anyone who has cruised them would be appreciated.

Does the Getaway have a few main dining rooms that are included in the price and then some specialty restaurants that you pay for? Do they have anything like international cafe on princess where they have sandwiches and salads and donuts in the morning that is included?

We have only cruised Princess and are considering changing our cruise from the Emerald Princess to the Norwegion Getaway. Any info. anyone can give me about the differences between the two would be appreciated. Princess is great about my sons peanut allergy and we are wondering how Norwegion is with allergies. What about the kids club? Princess has a non alcoholic drink package that includes shakes, soda, and any non alcoholic drink. Does norwegion have something like this? What about comparisons between food on the two cruise lines for those of you that have done both? Thank you.

Does the Emerald Princess have the new tv system now or would they be able to do that when it is in drydock?

Congrats. We are looking at that cruise as well. We are booked over Easter of 2016 but are thinking of changing it to the week of Feb 20th.

Do they have the old tube style tv's or new flatscreens with the on demand tv shows and movies? enjoy your cruise
