Which terminal did you use at Heathrow? we came through Terminal 5 at 2:00pm on Friday and it seemed quieter than normal .Still had to wait for luggage, but not as long as Venice.

Oh dear! Nightmares all round. BA business is nothing special short haul, but, I’m not trying to be clever or insult you, but we had a lovely breakfast flying out and a delicious lunch on our return flight. The poor sods in the back had a chocolate bar! We flew business class as it was included in the fare. you did better than our friends flying to Manchester via Munich, but they did keep their luggage. when we left the car park at the dock, there were four suitcases left behind. 😳 When we arrived at the airport most people choose to take their own cases rather than use the luggage van. Seems we are all cautious about trusting third parties with our luggage. At least you are home safely, hopefully your luggage will arrive soon.

I wonder if the Fudges have arrived back in the UK or perhaps they’ve gone straight to Northern Cyprus.

OK should have said they will try to help you. Getting confused with other cruise lines.Some of the routings with passengers trying to get home from Venice are upsetting. We arrived in Heathrow at 2:00pm on Friday. Our friends on same cruise arrived home today at 3:00pm (Sunday). Wow! Five flights, five taxis and two hotels. 😳

Also on board the Spirit. If you book your flights with Silversea and there are any delays, Silversea will wait for you, otherwise you could have to sort things out yourself.

There is no NZSB on board.🙁

We had a long and tiring start too, including an almost two hour flight delay. Our luggage was the last off the plane for our Silversea group. We walked to the far side of the car park to our bus.( Have two blisters, one on each foot..ouch) There were about 20 of us. The ‘check in’ seemed to go on for ages. More walking, then onto another bus to Fusina. We arrived shortly before 4:00 pm ‘local time’ The view from our balcony was of containers…not the best. Whilst standing the the balcony, our friends arrived. Good timing! Their day started with a 6:30 am flight….Yawn. we enjoyed a delicious dinner on deck. Then an early night.Everyone was very tired. We are now cruising along the Croatian coast. Looks like a lovely day.

The good thing about getting the nose tickling test done prior reaching the ship is at least you know you should be OK to get on the ship. Unlike poor souls we saw being unloaded after getting a positive result at the port. So near and then bounced off. So disappointing.

Thank you! A bit apprehensive about getting to the ship tomorrow. For now sitting in the hotel lounge enjoying a (traditional) champagne cocktail. Roy is enjoying his complimentary Guinness. Cheers! Wyn

Hello! We had our nose tickling test this morning….negative! Now we are on our way to Heathrow 😳Only 77 miles to go. Our flight to Venice is 8:35 am tomorrow. Can’t believe it’s finally happening. Our friends are on the 6:15 am from Manchester to Frankfurt, a wait then on to Venice. Safe a trouble free journey!

The ship will be docked about 25mins bus ride from the cruise terminal. There are no facilities for checking in at Fusina, so hopefully nothing goes missing after checking in. Fusina sounds like a commercial dock yard. It’s a pity that we won’t have the lovely sail away from Venice. Have you joined the roll call? It’s not very active.

We are flying from London Heathrow to Venice on BA on the day of the cruise. We are due to be collected to be taken to the Cruise terminal for check in then by bus to Fusina. So you should be OK. IFfffffffff Silversea aren’t there, I believe they will be, then go by water taxi, expensive but an experience, to the cruise terminal. There should be someone there to take you to Fusina. Is the Air France flight from Manchester direct or via Paris? Our friends are flying from Manchester to Munich on Lufthansa then on to Venice. An adventure!

Yes we did. It did say an antigen test on the Silversea email, but I still worry that they’ll change their requirements.😳

Finally got tests booked at Boots locally. As husband says ‘What a palaver’ Took the best part of an hour.

Oh Yes Boots have them. Should be able to get them in Heathrow. Found good info from GOV.UK website. It has links to Italian government website.

Friday morning from London Heathrow. It’s a Silversea booked flight. Hopefully no problems, but Silversea should wait for us.
