  1. I'm already spending too much time on this site during the day this week following live blogs and Chris's scopes now with Celisse and Kat next week I'll get no work done :D.

Exactly!!! My family is going to think I'm crazy next week as I'm glued to all the periscopes...... Guess now I can't yell at my kids for always staring at their screens.......

39 days until I'm on the Allure - this will definitely help me pass my time.....

  2. We must be a rarity...eating isn't the 1st thing we do on a cruise! We eat a late breakfast before heading to the ship, so we don't have to eat right away! Most hotels have an 11am check-out...so we eat a good breakfast...check out, and head to the ship, and the pool! A "start the vacation" drink, and some sun....plenty to snack on later, if we feel the need!

We don't have the option of a late breakfast. We have a very early morning flight to FLL from Charlotte. By the time we actually get on the ship my 2 sons (ages 12 and 16) will be ready to gnaw their own arms off [emoji16]. Therefore we plan on heading straight to Sabor for a restful meal away from the chaos of the windjammer and park cafe. Hopefully by the time we finish lunch our cabins will be ready and we can drop off our carry on bags and explore the ship.

  3. I've seen them offer 50% to Pinnacle members on board.

Wow! That would be amazing. However I'm just a lowly diamond - so I'll be happy with 20%. Now I need to do the math and determine if it makes economic sense for us. I know we have the 3 free drinks during happy hour with our diamond perks. However the C&A Rumor mill is churning out new scenarios every 3 minutes so we will have to wait and see if the new changes (IF they are made) affects us.

  4. Are you finding 20% off ALL drink packages on your cruise, or just the select package? I'm only seeing 20% off the select package on my 5/14 sailing on the Oasis.

It is showing select and premium as 20% off. Ultimate is not even showing up on my cruise planner. Why? I'm not sure. But not an issue for me as I am happy with the Premium.

  5. Debating when to purchase VOOM as well. Will be our first time to purchase Wifi - we normally don't - but that was before Voom and before our boys were tween/teens. With the size of the Allure and the fact that our boys will demand independence for the first time (last cruise they were 5 and 9 - now 12 and 16) we want to be able to have easy communication with them.

Right now they are offering 30% off all packages (hmmmm - yesterday it was BOGOHO) - should we grab it now - or will our Diamond Discount be a better deal?

Also - is there a huge difference in the surf only package vs. the Surf and Stream package? DH and I only want to surf - but I guarantee the boys will want to be able to facetime their friends and surf youtube - so they will want stream and surf.

  6. We are cruising Allure in June with 21 family members to celebrate my inlaws 60th anniversary. I am using custom ink dot com for our shirts. Very pleased with the process and service so far.

  7. We leave on Sunday too! What did the kids wear for dinner? I thought khaki shorts and polo shirts would be ok for them (8 and 10 year old boys) but wondering if I need to bring pants.

I have multiple cruises under my belt with my two sons in tow. They were always fine in the main dining room with khaki shorts and polo shirts or a button-down. Especially when they were younger. However they are now 12 and 16 and I'm thinking they probably should wear pants to dinner now that they are older. However I am sure they will disagree with me this June when we are on the Allure - lol.
