  1. I make a wish list and my husband makes a wish list. Then we compare lists. Occasionally the match.😀
  2. I guess the emerald princess won't be in europe, bummer.
  3. Any guesses as to what they will do with the emerald? We are doing the british isles this september and I am hoping she will be in europe doing a baltic without st petersburg, of course. The Sky has a really good itinerary in June of 23 but we can't travel in June. Busy season for my husbands work.
  4. No I booked shore excursions before the final payment was due on my upcoming british isles cruise.
  5. We did this with our daughter and son-in-law in June. We had a girls room and a boys room. We just went to guest services and got an extra key for both rooms. It was a basic blue card easy to tell the room key from the sail and sign card.
  6. No I wouldn't have downgraded without them being paid in full. Even if we had to use the insurance's cancel for any reason it still would have been $1500 cheaper. I was more worried about not getting our already purchased sold out shore excursions back. Half of the cruiseline's shore excursions are sold out. A lot of people have onboard credit from cancelled cruises, we did.
  7. The price would be cheaper with a drop from a club class mini suite to a regular balcony. But my husband and I decided to just stay where we are and if they go and our schedules line up we will just go to the regular area in the dining room. It is a very port intensive cruise with lots of long days touring. We may not have that many dinners together anyway.
  8. Yes, It's because of the club class dining. We paid for it and if we want to eat with them we can't sit in the club class dining area. I just hate to pay for something we won't use.
  9. Is it possible to downgrade your cabin after final payment? We splurged and booked a club class mini suite for our british isles cruise in September. My sister and brother-in-law are now wanting to go with us but considering how much airfare has gone up they want a balcony not a club class mini suite and use the savings towards airfare. We booked our own airfare but we have a post hotel and have prepaid for several sold out shore excursions through Princess. I am willing to do refundable on board credit. I would call my travel agent but she is out of town till Monday. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
  10. It can be more expensive, but it generally includes transfers from the pier to the hotel and from the hotel to the airport. We have used princess hotels packages in both London and Rome the rooms were the standard rooms.
  11. Carnival also cancelled the Whale Quest & Orca Point Lodge excursion on the same sailing. No explanation just an email stating it was cancelled and that our payment would be credited back onto our credit card. We booked a different whale/salmon bake excursion for an additional $40 per person. I am hoping for no more cancellations.
  12. We are sailing to Alaska at the end of the month and I have a few questions. I know there is not a dive-in movie screen on the Miracle. But hoping to see the new version of Death of the Nile and a maybe couple of other newer movies. Do they play movies that would normally be on the big screen on the cabin TV's? Is the roof kept closed over the swimming pool? Trying to decide if we should pack bathing suits, traveling with grandkids. Is the kids club up and running? They are fully vaccinated. Are they sailing at full capacity. I have checked on the website and only insides and outsides are left. Any info about the Miracle would be appreciated. Thanks in advance/ Lori
  13. We were on the Ruby in April. Almost all the way aft and booked the DeVinci dining room. From the Boticelli dining room you can not go forward without going up or down one deck. The kitchen is in the way.
  14. I have always called the airline direct if the ticket has been paid for. They should help you
