  1. Thank you! It’s our 1st time on a Vista class, and I heard that the Havana area is better on them than any other class. So, we figured, let’s try it!
  2. Great! Thanks so much! What did you think of the Havana area? We’ve never been there before.
  3. Thanks so much! It was great to see the actual cabin.
  4. DH and I put a hold on an interior Havana cabin on the Horizon. Its cabin 5205. I did a quick search on here, and I think it’s a good choice. We’ve never been on a Vista class ship before. This past summer we went on a b2b on the Mardi Gras and had the best cruise ever. We are going on the Magic for the 1st time for spring break in a few weeks. We’ve been on the Dream & the Breeze and enjoyed them. We are also booked on the Celebration this summer. We usually cruise in balcony cabins but are going in an inside for our Magic cruise. We got another balcony for the Celebration cruise in the summer. I wanted to ask what people think of the interior Havana cabins (are they any different from regular interior cabins?) Also, what should we expect from the Havana area? It seems to be pretty popular/ well thought of on the Vista class ships. Thanks!
  5. We were on the Mardi Gras over the summer, and they had almond but not coconut milk. Not sure about soy because I don’t care for it, so I didn’t ask.
  6. Thanks so much! We are really looking forward to going there because we’ve never been, and it will be nice to visit a new port.
  7. Just to make a point… DH and I are teachers and are going on the Magic for Spring Break too. However, we are going April 2nd. So, SB is all over the place. This is actually the 1st time in about 10 years that we’ve had SB at the same time, so we’re taking advantage! You will have a great time. We can only travel during school vacation time, and always enjoy ourselves!
  8. One more question, does anyone know if there are one or two elegant nights on a 6 day cruise? I thought there was just one on the 1st sea day, but when I looked up Carnival menus it seems they are standard fleet wide. Day 6 (our 2nd and last day of the cruise) seems to have another elegant night menu. I thought they didn’t do that on the last night because people are packing that night. I just want to be prepared with the right amount of clothes.
  9. It was…. And it wasn’t…. I don’t know anything about either ship having never been on either. We have been on the Breeze and the Dream before, so I guess that does help us with the Magic And we’ve been on the Liberty, so that helps a bit with the Freedom.
  10. Thanks! Yes, we thought they were full of it. Who eats cold tater tots and all of the toppings? (And ice old- not just they were sitting around and got cold) The waiter told my husband they made the hot one especially for him?!?
  11. I have a strange question… was your fundertots served cold? My husband’s on the MG came out cold- actually not hot. So he asked the waiter if he could have a hot one. The waiter took it back and brought him a hot one, but told him they are usually served cold. Cold he thought they were disgusting, but hot he thought they were good.
  12. It’s done… we’ve switched to the Magic. I sure hope we are all done with our switching! Thanks everyone 😊
  13. Thanks so much! I did see that. Crazy how poorly people will behave. I don’t want to have to deal with that nonsense while I’m on vacation. DH and I changed our minds and changed our booking to a 5 day Freedom. (Then he texted me today and said we just got a great offer for a 6 day on the Magic. Now, I’m researching that!
  14. Thanks for your help. DH keeps looking at different cruises every time a new email comes!
  15. DH and I are currently booked on the Freedom for a Spring Break cruise. We just got an email deal that seems great for the Magic but I don’t know much about either ship to be honest. Both cruises are out of Port Canaveral… The Freedom is a 5 day and goes to Amber Cove & Grand Turk. The Magic is a 6 day a goes to the same ports plus Half Moon Key. ( We’ve been to AC and GT before but not to HMC) There is no price difference between the 2 cruises. What would you choose?
  16. When I was on the Mardi Gras this summer, I was able to get almond milk in my specialty coffee. I asked about oat milk and they didn’t have that.
  17. That’s what we were thinking. We are going on a 5 day on the Freedom in April and an 8 day in July on the Celebration. We did not have Cheers this past summer on the MG. We did have (and still do have) drinks on us in the casino. We were less than impressed with that and waited forever for drinks even with tipping on every drink. They were severely under staffed in the casino.
  18. DH and I were on the fence about getting Cheers for our next cruise. This thread has convinced us that we should! There are so many drinks that sound like a must try!
  19. Thanks! I think we are planning on staying onboard in Nassau. Jacks shack is the plan for grand Turk. Do you know if the aft pool is adults only? I’ve read so many different things, I don’t know what to believe!
  20. Omg, I feel like a moron… we are going to Amber Cove and Grand Turk! I’ve looked at waaaay to many cruises today!
  21. That was the one thing that we were not too sure about. The Sunrise went to Ocho Rios and grand cayman. The Freedom is going to Nassau and Princess Cays. We’ve never been to Princess Cays before… Nassau, we might just stay on the ship.
  22. We just changed our cruise to the Freedom! I was able through our casino offer to change it without penalty. Hopefully, we made the right decision to switch!
  23. Thanks for your response. I kind of wish I had done a bit more research ( so not like me.) Oh well, I guess there isn’t anything I can do at this point and hopefully it will be better than sitting at home!
