There are some very nice dresses on that site. Thanks we have a blast. I am taking my daughter on a cruise in Aug. for her 14th bday. We were booked for September on the Triumph but I found the Ecstasy at a little better rate and now she gets to go to the Bahamas. :). This will be her second cruise and her first was on the Triumph. So I know she would have loved it. But she is going to LOVE her bday present in July. She doesn't have a clue that she is going on a cruise and especially not an airplane!

Now i just have to figure out a fun way to give her preset to her.

Now here is my Halloween cruise dress. I know it may be a little over the top for some. But I'm an over the top type person sometimes :). I will be traveling with my partner of 2 years. My gf who will be celebrating her 40th bday the day before we board for our b2b.

 

Here is a picture of my dress, her tie and some possibilities on the shoes. She is going to wear black slacks and a dark blue long sleeved shirt. With the matching tie. I know some wont like it. But I love it. Plus it's fun :)

Britini, me too about the blazers. The only thing I dislike more than showing my lily white fluff arms is sweating so I am going sans blazer. Although it did get a very light knit pashmina at Cathrines the other day that I will wear if I loose my confidence. I hate saying pashmina BTW.

Hope everyone had a nice weekend...I was up late last night and as usual checking out dresses. Won this one on Ebay for a song....I'm blaming Joyce for this..;)..I saw her two beautiful floral dresses that she bought and decided that I wanted to try something floral and tropical! So Joyce, this one is all your fault!:D

 

 

I do like the color....hoping it is the aqua/turquoise that shows on the screen....thought it would be nice for one evening at dinner. I'll have to wait till it arrives, but have no idea about a shoe to go with this...Open to ideas!

on a seven day cruise i will have about 3 drinks a day but to be honest with you, on one of those days I get hammered so I have like 5 or 6. each about 7 dollars give or take and so my calculator says about 200 but i must be fibbing because it always ends up being more. count on a $400 PP bar bill.

I call it her "hoochie mama" dress.....was talking to some black women on my last cruise....asked them if they knew of any white woman that would wear this dress and they said no way. Told them that this white woman was wearing it (they are the ones that called it a "hoochie mama" dress....for the record....also had a fun time about me wearing it....so please don't anyone take offense to this).....Had A LOT of compliments on it

The hoochie mama dress is a bad ass statement dress. You are a honey badger!!! and that is said with a smile.

I got this dress as well as several other for my DD. She is 11 and is big for her age. She is a total tom boy but LOVES dressing up every night for the MDR. All were $14 or less. I love a good deal. If I can find a dress for every night for under $ then she will have them. It is just so nice to see her without sports gear on, lol

There is an awesome nightclub geared toward the younger crowd in the viking crown. It was banging every night we went. And we went every night of our 9 nighter. I am going again on Saturday for a 7 night so I will update you again later.

Kids camp is great!

If I had the time I would do a 12 nighter but the 12 nighters have MUCH fewer kids and the crowd does seem to be older. No offense to this please, I would LOVE to take a 12 night.

I strongly believe in returning lost or left items to the owners. (Twice that kindness has been extended to me.) HOWEVER, I believe if I found a large amount of money, I would give my name and contact information to those in charge and keep the money until it was claimed and identified by the appropriate person. (I'm not talking about just on a cruise ship. If there is not a police station to return it to, it stays with me.) Anybody else feel this way?

My DD found a kids style small back pack in the parking lot of the pizza hut. She picked it up and we eventually went home because no one claimed it. We forgot about it in the back seat and the next day I opened it and found a whole bunch of $1s and an ID. I figured it had to be a waitress there since I know about $1 tips:mad:

I called info, got the number and the girl was about 15. her mom said that something was 'shady' about it because I didnt call right away and I had to go explain myself to a police officer. The police officer was a little hostile to my kid saying that she stole it from inside to pizza hut. Wierd since it was returned with every penny in it.

Therefore, I promised myself if I ever found a wallet I would take the money and toss the thing in the trash. its been 12 years and although I have found wallets sitting on seats etc, I just cant bring myself to do it. Maybe one day...

Oh, and I left a whole cabinet full of accessories in a cabin once. About 10 necklaces, some bracelets, and some earrings. So mad at myself!!!

Smells. I love the smell of the spa. The eucalytus and whatever else they use if like crack to me.

I'm so glad you took the time to write to us. I know there are lots and lots of folks who "lurk" and "look" at our lives and have so many questions about our dogs. I'm thrilled that you took the time to actually write-in and talk about yourself. Nancy did the very same thing and we adopted her!!!!

 

I wish I had had the need for "Brenda" in my life when my children were growing-up. Although, it would have been 3 more things on top of whatever else I had to do, I think the dog would have been a wonderful teacher to the children.

 

I hope your DD gets an amazing partner very soon. She'll get the assistance but you'll get all the "benefits" that the dog will bring to all of you.

Whenever I have a day like this where work is stressful and my kids are stressing me out, I like to look on this thread about service dogs. I do this because sometimes I enjoy my dogs more than I enjoy my kids and it is nice to look @ your doggie pictures and hear all of your wonderful stories. Cruises and dogs, what could be better? and please dont think I am downplaying anyones need for a SD, My DD is a paraplegic and is working on getting one.

I just REALLY enjoy this thread. Thanks for all the smiles guys!

I am assuming to OP doing this review thread, who has been wonderful about giving us awesome posts and amazing pictures meant that the shipds internet is dead in the water.

Does anyone have info on the Fitness Center? What sort of classes are offered? Do they have high quality ellipticals? Do they have enough or do you have to wait? Do they have free weights? Cable machines? Stability balls? Squat rack? What are the hours like?

 

We sailed on the Enchantment February 2011 but I hadn't yet set foot in a gym. Now I'm addicted! I will definitely be hitting the gym this time out! (April)

just kidding, yes they have plenty of ellitical but still get backed up during the am, yes to free wieghts, machines, and balls. not sure abt the squat rack. good hours.

I get the idea of the WOW card but have never seen them, nor know the benefits of them for staff. can someone enlighten me?

i can honestly say I have never wasted a calorie. in fact, they are still all with me, lol.

well that sounds kind of sucky but I blown money on dumber things.

But still, I am going to make one of those charm city cakes styled cupcakes, throw away $!!!! @ roulette, drink top shelf, get about 3 spa treatments, play bingo, and buy stupid stuff @ every port.

i am praying they have this on enchantment. its not $22 for decorating a cupcake, its $22 to make a fun and interesting memory. SOLD!!!

rc has great spinach dip in the mdr. it is usually served towards the end of the cruise. u can get it in room service whenever u want. yum!
