  1. In 13 cruises with Azamara we’ve never had anything other than a glass or two of wine or a cocktail plus canapés or small snacks in our Azamazing evenings ashore. We’ve had one truly memorable evening in Bangkok, one in a lovely setting (theatre in Ravenna where we had no food or drink), one in Wadi Rum (lovely setting but very repetitive performance) & one in a beautiful mountain village (had to be finished early as it got very cold after sunset). The rest were OK, but mostly in tents at the back of hotels. One of the best shows we’ve had was the recent onboard event in Walvis Bay where the show was outstanding!

  4. My guess is that even if they do have Royal Club, they’ll have Schweppes sugar free tonic as well, just make sure you ask for it.
  5. Our fairly large hard shell suitcases go under the bed easily.
  6. Our September Onward cruise has the Gibraltar Azamazing evening ashore in the main square there.
  7. Azamara used to have a Chief Blogging Officer. Just before COVID this was Bonnie McLaird who was terrific.

  11. You have to make a booking using the free nights within a year of reaching a level - here’s the quote from the website FAQs. Complimentary nights must be used on a new booking made within 12 months following the sailing when the new level was reached.

  13. Yes we also got the booking onboard OBC of $300 and another $700 that was part of the promotion when we booked
  14. They ask you to use their detergent, not your own. You can also hang clothes on the line that is in the shower. I wash some delicate things by hand and hang them in there to drip as well as our swimming things.
  15. Not sure how ours was worked out. Perhaps the price with discounts & free nights was calculated on a Verandah, then the difference between a veranda and. CC Suite added. We were certainly able to book a CCSuite and use our 6 free nights, even though we usually book an OV or a Veranda.
  16. You can use them on any booking. We got them plus the prevailing promotion when we booked in February. We booked an 11 night cruise. The discounts, including the free nights, the current promotion and the onboard booking discount all came off the price without port fees, taxes etc. In all our 11 night cruise ended up about half price when the port fees and taxes were added back in. On the basis of that we opted for a CCSuite which we have never had before.
  17. Make sure you tell Guest Relations as soon as you board, and don’t put your luggage out, take it off yourself.

  20. Does the tote bag have a zip or is it the usual open top bag. We also wondered whether you each get a card holder for your key card. Thanks.
