I didn't ask, but thanks so much for your review! There have been so few comments on any of the "Casual" places, I'm eager to read about other CC'ers experiences.

Yes, it's there for dinner time. We were on the Emerald last week.
Thanks. Is it open every night?

That’s too bad about Costa Rica. I remember you wrote that you were looking forward to taking photographs. Weather can be such a #%%$ sometimes.

Wow that's huge! 😅

Is the Salty Dog Gastropub available on the Emerald (in the Wheelhouse Bar)? Maybe as a pop-up?
-
If Alfredo's said you had BOTH used one meal, then they definitely did NOT allow sharing which is unfortunate but not surprising. The concept of a cover charge just confuses the issue I think.

Busy every night on CB, reservations were strongly encouraged.
Emerald, not sure how busy they e been, but I'd expect similar.
They're the only two ships with these 2 options..
I expected that... hopefully they'll figure out how to put it on the app for pre-booking.

Curious if either has been busy since reopening and the new Casual Dining option?
-
Anyone currently on or just off the Emerald that can comment on if these two are open, and if so when and can you reserve seating ahead of time?

Does Canelleto have discounts for 4 and 5 star members or is that only on some ships?
25% off for 3* and 50% off for 4 & 5*

Does your account say that you've used one Fixed Price meal each, or was just one of you "charged"?

I will be aboard Eurodam in February and will let you know.
Works for me! 🙂

The Indonesian dinner sounds very interesting. We’ve got a B2B on the Eurodam in March and there is one night in each leg where the Tamarind is unavailable to reserve. I’m assuming it will be for the new Morimoto pop-up, but that Indonesian dinner would be a lovely surprise!

You've sold me! Thanks again.

Thanks so much Todd... but I was kinda hoping it wasn't that big and that the pool and beach weren't that far apart. But we could maybe set up together by the pool and I could hit the beach when I want?
-
@TTEllis you're such a Marriott fan, hoping you can give me some 1st hand info? DH is not a beach fan, but loves a good pool. I, on the other hand, love a good beach. At the Marriott are the two close enough that we could enjoy a day separately, but still together? Hope that makes sense....

Thanks so much. Good to know the Emerald is still doing well! 👍

To compare, $100 FCDs purchased from Princess in March 2023 got us each $100 in OBC for just a 14 night cruise. That's where the cabin category makes a difference.

This is the one we received last week also.
Quite a difference between booking on board or booking later which I had not seen before. No sure how the FCD's purchased before these will be handled as we still have some from prior cruise.
We bought ours in February 2023 and booked a 21 day HAL cruise in June. My TA mentioned she was surprised at how little HAL gave us in OBC.
-
Applied one of two FCDs to a 21 day cruise. $50 regardless of cabin category. It’s pretty paltry.

Only problem is when you go to actually book, they add tax and a “service charge”. So the $100 becomes about $120.

Looks delicious! I look forward to pictures of the beef tenderloin and escalope of fish if you decide to try them! 🤞😁
