I wonder if it's always "the biggest ship wins".... 🤔 The day we're supposed to be there, the Aida Perla is scheduled to be there 8am-6pm. The Rotterdam is 8am-11pm. Fingers crossed the length of the port stay makes a difference. 🤞

Hopefully the band at the Ocean Bar will also be on the Pinnacle Class ships. We will miss Lincoln Center for sure.

Hopefully if this is now a recurring issue, they will adjust their itineraries sooner rather than later. I already cancelled my HIA Bonaire shore excursion in anticipation of a February change. But I would be very upset if for example I missed out on a Woodwind private excursion with no notice until after we set sail.

We are on the same cruise and I am now concerned. There is a 2nd ship in Bonaire that day, the Aida Perla, and it is indeed bigger than the Rotterdam.

Valentine's Day specialty restaurants are now available on my Rotterdam sailing. Only the Pinnacle Grill has a "special" menu that evening. Took just over a week to get my email confirmation from ValueTrips, which I just canceled online on the Hyatt site since I got a better rate at booking dot com.

We'll be onboard the Rotterdam this upcoming Valentine's Day, which happens to fall on the last night of our cruise. I know the MDR sometimes offers a "nicer" menu on Valentine's Day and perhaps the Specialty Restaurants will as well. Because at this point none of the restaurants are available to reserve. Anyone on a different ship able to book a Specialty Restaurant on Valentine's Day 2023?

Surprisingly, I just got a better price on booking dot com than what ValueTrips is showing for my date in January. 👍

I realize that for certain itineraries those day's menus will definitely be the case. But, for example, on both of our upcoming 10-Day Caribbean cruises, on Day 7 we are in port until 11:00pm (once in Aruba and once in Curacao). So I am pretty certain they will not be Gala Nights.

No. The pricing for onboard reservations has always been in USA$ for me.

Just went to change the date of a Specialty Restaurant reservation in February and discovered that Sabatini's Trattoria is now $35 and Crown Grill & Bistro Sur La Mer are $39. That's quite the increase from $25 & $29!

Just an FYI.... ValueTrips is accepting bookings for all of 2023. 🙂

Not doubting you, but the January 25th itinerary mirrors the Rotterdam’s first 10 day 2022 Caribbean cruise at the end of October, beginning of November. First gala night was on Day 5, the first Sea Day. I was surprised as well.

This can vary depending on the port schedule. On our January 25 and February 15 cruises, both 10 day, the first Gala Night will likely not be until the first Sea Day. Which is not until Day 5.
