  1. Spoke with them today & the rep told me the website will not be functional for more than just booking a cruise until April. Also told me that as of yesterday, the ship is in the water.
  2. Glad to see all these positive reports about the Concierge suites (but all with Vibration, or just certain location) as we'll be boarding Feb 8 in Concierge. I thought everyone did away with herding all the passengers for a muster drill.
  3. Yes - I meant LAN, don't know why I said Cellular - brain fog.
  4. Do the cabins have a Cellular connection, so I can just connect my computer directly and not have to use WiFi? If not in the cabins, are they anywhere on the ship that is accessible to passengers? I've found on most lines the Internet is from bad to unusable. Last cruise I was on, I sometimes got as fast as 8 MBps, but usually between 3 - 5. Used to over 200 at home, and of course, don't expect anything like that onboard.
  5. Doing a search to see about Internet connections & I came across this thread. SO I do have a couple of questions. I'm SIlver, and have been SIlver for several years (from before they changed from Silver to GOld). So wondering if we get grandfathered? I am 2 nights short of GOld. Will my perks switch to Gold after the 1st 2 nights?
  6. Sorry about the Seahawks. I was pulling for them. THey hung in there, leading at the half, but I guess turnovers did them in. Purdy can't be this good! Wait till the Eagles D line gets to him!
  7. UHOH! Ship is in Port in Curacao until 10 PM. We may have to arrange an Iggles Phans group to find a place to watch.
  8. Normally, I'll watch the Super Bowl, but it's not that big a deal. UNLESS "MY" team is playing. Since "my" team is 13-1 this year, there's a pretty good chance we'll make it to the Super Bowl again. We'll be on Splendor the day of the game. Does Regent usually show the Super Bowl on the ship? DO they have some kind of party/spread. etc? FLY EAGLES FLY!
  9. We experienced this a couple of times on other ships. I recall one time we heard it was a disaster, waiting hours to get back on the ship (We took a tour so we had no issues). Another time, it was very smooth. I think alot depends on the port & how many agents are there. But the lack of wheelchairs & needed assistance was inexcusable.

  13. When I read earlier that Regent is holding the ship until Monday my first thought was about you, so sorry that you were on your way home instead of to the ship. I'm surprised you had to call Regent instead of them calling you to say you can make it now. Good Luck - hope you make it to the ship and have a great cruise! I imagine that Welcome Champagne will be downed very quickly! 🙂 We are not on this cruise - we'll see you in February.

  15. Whenever I see a reference to South Beach, I can't help but chuckle thinking of the movie The Birdcage. Hysterical!

We'll also be disembarking that day in MIami, but we just drive 4 hours & we're home. 😃 I haven't checked, but have you looked into tours run by regent for people who have several hours to spare before getting to the airport? It's a Wednesday, so the crush of people shouldn't be bad at the hotels previously suggested. See you onboard!

  18. AAAARGH!!!! SO I went and did one at a time. I got the 1st one in, it showed up, and I received an email confirming it. Then went and did another, and what I had earlier disappeared. So tried again, booked one, and the previous ones disappeared, despite getting emails confirming. This is really frustrating. Will probably end up calling to do it - defeats the purpose on being able to do it online at leasure.
  19. That's what I am going to try. Thanks. Sadly, just about everything is already sold out. Booking this close to the cruise causes that. Last time we cruised on Regent I don't believe there was an opportunity to book online ahead of time. That was 13 years ago. Easier.
  20. Yes, I noticed that on a few they did not even allow to Waitlist. I guess that could explain why. My selected tours never showed up in my Cart, so there was nothing there to "Confirm Your Tours." Have to start from scratch now.
  21. Just booked yesterday for FEb 8 Splendor. Trying to book dining, CUlinary & excursions. Every Culinary class is sold out. Pretty much every Shore Excursion is not available so I selected Waitlist. BUT then when I go to my Cart, there is nothing there. Went back & selected shore excursions again - but still showing I have nothing booked nor waitlisted. Have spent the last 2 hours selecting excursions, but have to start again from scratch? Where are my selections going? The Dining reservations do show up. Do Waitlisted excursions generally open up to allow booking once on the ship? Also, not allowed to make any changes to profile. It has an old email address. want to change, but it keeps jumping back to the old one.

  23. It looks like Whisper is sort of the "Stepchild" of the SS line. It's sister ship was renovated, and the Arts Cafe added (the Arts Cafe is a HUGE addition) along with updating. Whisper needs it.
