No salt added. Most likely the food.
When we bring the water he still eats the same food and his legs and feet don't swell, so it doesn't' seem to be that. True they cook with more salt than I do at home, but we are careful with our choices in food as well. If his legs and feet are all swollen, then it is not a good cruise for him, even with compression hose, etc. Bringing the water makes a difference for him. So we are glad we are able to bring the water, for me the ship water is fine.

I don't get it either. Seems like such a hassle to carry. Unless it for some type of medical need, why not use the ship's VERY GOOD water or buy bottled water on board. The minimal amount you are saving by carrying it compared to the overall cost of your vacation is a drop in the bucket - pun intended!
We bring our water because if we don't DH legs and feet swell up, I can drink the ship's water but hubby can't, don't know why. But for him it makes a big difference. Go figure ...

DW and I really enjoyed our day in Huatulco. We exited our ship, walked off the pier, turned left (the beach is right in front of you) and were at the beach in about 5 min. We started looking for beach loungers...which are generally owned by the cafes/restaurants that line the beach. The first few places asked for $20-$40 and we simply laughed and kept walking. When we reached the area we liked. they ask for $30 for 2 chairs and an umbrella. I just laughed at the man, told him we live in Puerto Vallarta (this is true about 2 months a year) and would pay nothing for the chairs. But I told him if we gave us the chairs and umbrella for no charge, we would drink and eat during the day. He then laughed and welcomed us to his cafe :).
The beach was nice, food decent, drinks good and the water warm and clean. Since it was a sandy bottom we doubt if snorkeling would have been worthwhile (we are avid snorkelers but did not have our gear). This is actually a popular port with the crew since they can quickly get to a beach to swim and play..during the short time off.
Hank
Hi Hank, what would you suggest to offer the restaurant to rent chairs and umbrella if we plan on having just beer and nachos, what would be fair?? Thanks

Hi Lois, my DH takes meds 4 times a day, We got the pill holders at Wal-Mart, and yes we also take a few days extra meds also. We also take a print out of the meds, Dr. Name, and any pertinent Info that might be needed in a emergency, including where we fill the meds and phone numbers for that.
Hope this helps

Lois and Sherilyn, so sorry you are both going through these tough
times. Lois I don't know if it helps, but when my DH had cancer and getting his medications approved, etc. etc, was really a difficult time, but I just kept calling and following up on it, we did get it approved, it did take a letter from the oncologist to the company, but we did get it, they would Fed ex it yo our house then we would take it to the Dr. office, for some reason that made a difference, we did that for 2 years ( we did have to renew after the first year) so just keep on trying to get the meds. But I do understand that it is really frustrating, hang in there. We are thinking of you.
Sherilyn, sorry that you are going through these difficult times also, hope that you get all this sorted out soon, and get the meds you need and get on the road to recovery soon. Keep fighting, we are thinking of you.
Prayers for both of you

Oh my..... I had read on the boards about the changes, but had no idea it would look like that, not pretty, . We may have to rethink our plans for cruising on the Island next spring, with the promenade changes and no Int. Cafe added. Looks like a freighter in the back.
Thanks All for the information. Sure wish they would bring the Sapphire back here to the states. Will be on the Crown soon, looking forward to that.

Good for all you folks that can do this, envy you. We can't do that, DH is 6"5, size 15 shoes, so that just doesn't' t work for us , wish it would it would be nice to be able to not have to check k our luggage.

I agree with everyone, that flight is way to early. I live here and you can never count on a specific time going to LAX, if the 405 is jammed up, it can take a long time, it only takes a small fender bender to mess things up, and just getting from the freeway exit to the terminal at LAX can be bumper to bumper also, 12:30 to 1:30 sounds much better.

I've only sailed with Princess and so far I'm happy with them. I don't want or need rock climbing, wave riders, zip lining or a central park with shops/burger places for a fee. I love the Regal and can't wait to be back on her in a few weeks :)
Well said, agree completely.

Hope this link works. If not search shareholders form and it is included in the second thread that pops up.
I faxed my form in at 2:25 p.m. EST today, and my credit was posted on my account by 4:00 p.m. Not a record for me, but pretty darn good. Thanks, Princess.
Hope this link works and is helpful.

Edit: Link worked for me, I just had to sign into my account again when prompted. Let me know.
Thanks, just printed up forms : )

Hi Lois, and Sharlin I just saw your post, I have not been on the boards for awhile. You have my thoughts and prayers. I have had cancer also, for me it was melanoma, I had surgery, I am now considered cancer free, my husband has also had cancer a very aggressive form of cancer, he was in treatment for several years, he is now doing well ...so it is something you can fight...We also got medication financial assistance. When you are going through a bad patch, just take it one day at a time, that is my best advice. And remember your friends on CC are thinking of you.
Keep strong and keep fighting.
God Bless

The trip yo Hawaii is great, we have done it 3 times out of LA, twice with Eula and once with a very nice couple that kept the Hawiian theim going. As already mentioned, the hula lessons, lei making, and ukulele lessons, etc. But I must say the sea days are probably our favorite part, and the islands are always so beautiful. On the ship you can be as busy as you want or as lazy : ) as you want, what ever suits you best. ENJOY

Hi. Welcome to the Princess boards. We will be on the Crown in Sept-Oct. I will try to remember to post on the boards what shows and movies, and entertainment we have at that time. But as already mentioned the shows, movies and entertainment keeps changing as time goes on
But I think you will enjoy your time on the Crown, and your time on Princess. Have a great cruise.

I agree. Keep the daily patter. We use it to plan our day, we read it at night and decide what we want to do, we also put our phones in the safe, only use our tablets for reading. Not a fan of the app. Hope Princess is listening.

Really ! pot is not the reason we go to Alaska, it is a wonderful beautiful place to see and enjoy, our personal opinion is when we are on shore we spend our time seeing Alaska. But that is just our opinion, to each his own. : 0

We do ask our room steward for a egg crate or mattress cover pad ( if we are not sailing on one of the ship's with new mattresses ) ,I have back problems and find that this is helpful
Also when we see our steward we will ask to have the fridge items be removed, so we can use it for our water , bottle of wine, and some . Meds. We do this personally with a please and thank you.
We know the stewards work hard and have several cabins so we keep our cabin tidy, unlike some cabins we have seen.
Call me silly, but we think we should treat people the way we would like to be treated.
Happy cruising. Cori

Case of water
in Princess Cruises
Posted
Yes, I don't know why he has the problem with the water, but I do know that a lot of other people also have the same problem, there have been a lot of threads on CC regarding it. We are just glad that they let us bring a case of water on board , it really makes a difference for my DH.
