Three years ago we stayed in 6374 and 6372 on the Carnival Glory.  We were shocked with the loud music and kids screaming until about 1:00am in the morning.  The walls in our room would actually shake.  Even during the day they would play movies in Club O2, we could hear each sentence in the movie "Jaws".  We contacted guest services the first night to complain.  We continued to complain each night due to the fact we had a 2 year old and 2 other children.  We ended up speaking to the "hotel manager" and received a credit on our account and a discount on a future cruise as we were so unhappy.  These rooms should be only reserved for casino players, since most likely they will be in the casino much of the night, thus missing the loud annoying teen club.  Taught us a lesson to always look at the ship's deck plans, because we will always steer clear of Club O2 and other loud music venues.

Oh no! Not what I wanted to hear. 😞 Unfortunately there were no other rooms that worked for us needing 3 in one and 2 in another. Thank you for the honest information.

We was in 6399 last year and loved it so much that we rebooked it again this year also. It's basically where you are except on the opposite side of the ship. Not too rocky, not too noisy (although we are not directly above O2), and no we never smelled cigarettes

Wonderful! Thank you! I'm very curious about noise from Club O2. I've heard conflicting things.

  3. Thanks everyone! I hate adding to the work load of the stewards but based on comments and our cruise schedules I feel twice a day will work best for us. Or at least fresh towels in the evening. Ours never dry by late afternoon when we use them in the mornings. We have a separate room booked for our kids and that one we are fine with once a day in mornings.

Did you book directly with Carnival and/or use a PVP? Our boys stay in an interior across the hall from us, ages 7 & 15. Our PVP always puts them in their own cabin and us in our cabin. Never had to split up the adults like that for the booking.

Same. We booked a balcony and interior and our pvp assigned the kids to their own room.

Come back for my August 25th Glory Cruise out of  New Orleans. Staying on Bourbon Street precruise and there will be a barhop. It’s the same ports so I’ll be looking for new things to do if anyone has any suggestions...let me know.  I have Tulum on my list but I think I want to wait until next feb when it’s cooler for such a long trek.

This has been a great review! Thanks for taking us with you. I'm especially excited about your August cruise as we are doing the Glory out of NOLA in October.

The family suitet was perfect for 5. My husband and I shared the king. The couch folded out to a bed perfect for my girls (14 but 5'8 and 12, kid-sized). They each had what appeared to be a twin-sized space.  There was an upper Pullman above them that worked great for my son (16, 5'10 175 pounds). He said it was super comfy and he had plenty of space. The girls' bed stayed out the whole time and we were never tripping over each other or beds. Really a perfect configuration for a cruise room for 5, especially with the spacious balcony. Very similar space-wise to the family room on Disney. My only complaint is that there should have been two toilets instead of two showering spaces, but it worked just fine.

I didn't realize the couch was a double. Thank you for all of the info. Depending on the price difference we might try a suite next year.

The morning buffet was pretty small but fairly extensive. More than continental. There was bacon, sausage, buscuits, eggs, oatmeal, pastries, fresh fruit, waffles, etc. We only visited twice but it was about the same both times. Great on an early port day and debark day. Small space, though, so it got crowded.

Later in the day there were cookies and simple sandwiches. I never tried those but the kids ate the sandwiches one day when we returned after lunch placed were shut down but too early for dinner.

I cant answer your questions about the number of cabins. We had a family suite and it was perfect for 2 adults and 3 teens. We also loved the cove balcony. I would highly recommend.

How was the family suite set up for 5? In all of the pics I've seen it looks like it would only sleep 4.

  8. I've been on the Inspiration and Fascination (same class as Imagination) and Conquest (same class as the Glory). We are going on the Glory in October and I can't wait. I've been on the Conquest three times and love that class. I prefer the Lido deck layout, it has more balconies and it feels larger. It's not nearly as large as the new ships but also feels like it has more space for the amount of people onboard.

I’m on the Breeze now and have been sampling the cakes. They are pretty good, some better then others. I liked key lime pie, chocolate peanut butter, cherry vanilla, and regular chocolate. Probably best Lido desserts I have seen on all cruise lines.

    Key lime pie!!!!

We used a company for our excursion called Woodwind. Just google "Woodwind snorkel Bonaire". They are very good. They had enough guides to take us out in groups of 8 to 10 people. We snorkeled in 3 different spots. It was an awesome experience. Best snorkeling we've ever done.

That sounds like so much fun. I'll look them up. Thank you!

It totally depends what type of activities you enjoy.

Belize and Mahogany Bay Roatan are fantastic if you are active and love adventure and more rustic locations.  They are not like the fancy Grand Cayman...big contrast.  We love both, headed there on Vista again for 4th time in April.  They are our type of ports.  Cozumel has been the destination for our family land vacations for 18+ years, so you can say we love it.

Bonaire is a great diving and snorkeling location, but not much else to do, it is a big rock in the ocean but that rock is actually a coral reef that surrounds the island with zillions of fish.  So if you are not a water activities person, it will be a bit boring.  We've been there twice for week-long diving vacations and love it.

I have videos of excursions from our previous trips if you are interested.

We aren't very adventurous. Haha! We are more beach people. We love Aruba but I was concerned we wouldn't find much to do in the other ports.

  13. Which itinerary would you chose aND why?

Cruise 1: Carnival Magic, 7 day to Grand Cayman, Mahogany Bay, Belize and Cozumel.

Cruise 2: Carnival Horizon, 8 day to Aruba, Bonaire, La Romana and Amber Cove.

We've been to Grand Cayman and Cozumel several times and land vacations in Aruba but know nothing about the other ports. We've never been on the Magic or Horizon so either ship is fine with us.
