Dr. Pepper is only served on ships departing from Galveston and NOLA. I did just read today confirmation that it will still be served from those home ports after the switch to Pepsi.

I’m was bummed when I read that.   I know DP is its own brand but DP is disturbed by Pepsi in Fl so I was hoping it would be on ships out of Fl.
It’s sad since Pepsi does not have a alternative.
    Back to carrying on again

You can buy it on day 1 or on day 2 and get credit for drinks purchased on day 1. But after day 2 it's not available for sale.

Thanks for the update.  We haven’t bought cheers in 5 or so years.
Things have changed a little bit.
In the past you could buy it on day 2 and only pay 6 days instead of 7 And pay al la cart on day one
We would drink our carry on wine the first day and  buy cheers On day 2.
I do agree that you could never buy it past day two

I guess that won’t work this time so we will probably pass on cheers.

  3. I look at it a bit different,   Not 5.5 alcoholic  drinks a day but 38.5 alcoholic dinks per week.

When I think 5.5 a day I say no problem but 38 for the week no way.

For you that would be 77 alcoholic drinks for the week.

Only you know how much you drink.

We bring 24 sodas and 2 bottles of wine when we board so that covers some of the extras.

Since you ask our drink bill for 2 is around $400 to $500

It's a great deal for some and not so much for others.

only you can make this decision

I dont think this is correct. I have been on one cruise. Vista in 2018. I spent maybe $200 in the casino. Won maybe $60 but gave it all back. Spent less than 2hrs total in there. I received DOU promo recently.

It’s correct. That’s what it takes to earn DOU on a current cruise where you didn’t get one during booking.

There is no figuring out who and what deal they will send you to book another cruise.

Thank you.  I already have the limit purchased in cruise cash to cover the Steakhouse, Chef's table and casino and maybe bingo!  🙂  Plus $50 OBC.

We sail Jan 4 for 8 Magic-cal days.  I thought about getting Cheers but DH doesn't drink alcohol and I don't want to worry about the bar tab so bar cash maximum it is!

I get yea.   Have a great cruise.    The one thing you might check as I'm not sure of the answer.   If you buy a drink does it get charged to your bar cash first automatically.  I have never had both so I'm not sure how that would work.

I think it should but I would want to make sure.

  6.  I'm not trying to sound snobby,  I was going to follow as we are sailing Paradise next year.

I did a search.  I put in the search word "Paradise"  from the Carnival forum. "This forum only" and  " In title only"

About 6 post in there is a lady that posted recent  menus & fun times.

I'm not sure how to post it here.  But it's everything you might need.

If I purchase bar cash will sodas, specialty coffee and shakes be charged against it or only drinks with alcohol?

I already know if it's not all used what is left is not refundable.  This is my way of budgeting and do not need opinions on that.  The answer will make my decision on how much to purchase.

    Thank you!

To answer your question, soda's and coffee the answer is yes,  We didn't try the milkshake so I'm not sure but I would think so..

I do agree with the other poster unless you are going to buy more than $500 cruise cash I wouldn't limit my buy to bar cash only.  Cruise cash buys everything.

The only reason we had bar cash it was given as a gift.

  8.  I know it could happen anytime.

But when is the fog generally the heaviest for the port of Tampa.

I read when John post about delays in Tampa but it seem to me it is bunched together during certain times of the year

    Does anyone know those times?

Not all Platinum benefits are per person. Some are per stateroom such as the amenity from room service.

What is not doubled. The strawberries. Ok I’ll give you that one.
