I've read some posts about "wild" crew parties and that was what got me thinking. I now think those parties are probably not so wild.

But then you have to wait for them to get around to delivering the order so you are confined to your cabin until they do when you might have other plans. -
I was just thinking of something like the Costa Concordia. When they are off duty are they completely on their own time or would they have responsibilities in such a situation. I totally get that they deserve their down time. I was just wondering.

Even if it stayed open until 10 it would be an improvement. Especially on port days I find it a bit of a rush to enjoy sailaway, then shower and relax a bit, and then get to the Windjammer in time to enjoy dinner and not have to rush. -

I can't speak for Mariner specifically but it has been a long time since I've encountered a Voyager/Freedom class ship doing anything but first come first served for the ice shows. -
I think that is the one set up for all of us the love the Caribbean heat.

What makes you think the ship's medical facility has any obligation, or even any intention, of dealing with anyone's insurance company? If they are in agreement to supply the requested medication you had better be prepared to fork over your seapass to charge your account.

I wonder what happens if the ship encounters an emergency. Do off duty crew not have any responsibilities in such a situation?🤔

It is now snowing here... pretty heavily.

We just have a lot of slush and rain right now. The problem is when the temp drops later the slush will freeze. My parents, who live about 4-5 miles from the coast, have more snow than I do.

I agree with everything you are saying. When you couple all of that with the sharp rise in cruise fares, it is time to take the blinders off and start looking around instead of automatically just booking an RCI cruise. It could still end up being the way to go but it is time to explore options. I'll see how things go on Odyssey next month.

Early morning on the ships is such an awesome time of day. Fortunately, many people sleep through it or it would not so as nice a time as it is.

Raining and windy. There is a bit of white on the grass so it looks like it my have snowed a bit before turning to rain. The driveway and road are just wet.
