Enjoy, Rich. HAL's World Cruises always were a little too long for me but I've done a Crystal World Cruise and a Grand South America and started out never believing either would be possible. It's a fantastic experience. Roy

I had an interesting 12 hours or so this morning. I was given 6 new prescriptions. One was backordered by the pharmacy and I finally stopped waiting and picked them up yesterday. I don't know if it was a side effect of one of the meds but last night I had to get up for the bathroom (fortunately the quick and easy way) so sleep was not the best quality. I had planned a number of errands this morning but the weather forecast was ominous, and I decided to start pretty early before the worst of it hit. I left the house about 7:30 and started at the Mall where I walked about 30 minutes and then hit 3 grocery stores. First was Wegmans, east of the Mall where I actually bought groceries. It was 47 and raining when I left home and 42 and raining when I left the Mall. It was 37 and still raining when I left Wegmans. Next was the gas station and my primary grocery (west of home) where I picked up the prescription that was not ready yesterday. When I left there it was 34 and there was a brief snow squall. The final stop was the grocery close to home where I picked up a package from an Amazon locker. I was home about 10, I think pretty much just in time and the forecast is for a flash freeze tonight going down to single digit temps overnight and wind chills below zero. Roy

I love the Les Brown and have been to Key West several times and especially appreciated docking in Mallory on the S-Class. I think I'll pass on the meal. On December 29 (last of 2022) we have Blue Hulled Beauties leaving from each coast. The Koningsdam is doing a 9-day Mexican Riviera cruise extending into the Sea of Cortez while Zuiderdam is on a relatively short Eastern Caribbean cruise as a prelude to the Grand World Voyage. Either way, it's a great way to ring in 2023. I have spoken to my pharmacy and the county health department just called. I walked about 15 minutes in our mall today with a KN95 mask and the pharmacy and I have agreed that it is safe to pick up my prescriptions (and some groceries) with a mask. The Health Department just called and indicated that since my cold symptoms started a couple days before the test that my isolation period probably ended a couple days earlier than I thought and it should be within reason to be out without a mask starting tomorrow although I will continue to do so sparingly.and between this and weather I will worship from home this weekend.. Fortunately, this seems to be fading into history. Roy

I will certainly salute mathematics as an actuary, and love the idea of cookie exchanges although I have none to contribute. I'm not sure I would celebrate Zimbabwe Unity Day, it is quite a despotic country. I love the Helen Keller quote and have not been to Hakodate, although I believe it was on my 2017 Amsterdam Grand Asia segment until the itinerary was shuffled when China objected to us visiting South Korea. My dilemma is I have never knowingly been positive and have tested pretty regularly. I had a negative PCR test after returning from the Eurodam November 30, so it's hard to imagine covid could have come and gone so briefly. Roy

This is a bit of a strange Bon Voyage. Both our intrepid sailors our on the same ship but the listings are different; I think with a common core. It looks like both are continuing to at least January 14.
