It is our privilege to be your host on this wonderful voyage and I thank you for choosing to embark on such an incredible journey with Regent Seven Seas Cruises. I personally write to you today so that you are the first to know about changes to your itinerary. We have been closely monitoring the situation in the Red Sea and wider region and have decided to modify your current 2024 World Cruise. Seven Seas Mariner will now sail around Africa instead of transiting the Suez Canal. We appreciate that there may be some disappointment in these necessary changes, however we feel that the new itinerary that our teams have worked hard to secure will offer fascinating, once-in-a-lifetime experiences in destinations such as the Seychelles, Madagascar, South Africa, Namibia and the Ivory Coast to name just a few. The newly modified itinerary is displayed in full below, and we will be in contact as soon as new shore excursions and overland tours have been confirmed. Please review the important information below and attend a special briefing with Seven Seas Mariner’sCaptain and General Manager in the Constellation Theater at 10.00AM, today. Disembarkation – Action Required As a result of the itinerary modification the 2024 World Cruise will now be extended with a choice of disembarkation dates: · Option 1: Stay on board for an additional four days than was originally scheduled, and disembark in Lisbon, Portugal, on May 21. · Option 2: Stay on board for an additional 16 days than was originally scheduled and disembark in New York on June 2. The additional days on board are complimentary and will be at no extra cost to you. A disembarkation questionnaire will be delivered to your suite later today - please let us know your preferred disembarkation date by completing the form and delivering it to Reception by February 15. Guests with a Regent Cruise Package with Air If you booked a Regent cruise package with air, once you have advised us of your preference, our teams will arrange your flights to return home. You do not need to contact your Travel Advisor as Regent will provide your final schedule with your Travel Advisor. Guests with Independent Air Arrangements Unfortunately, we cannot make changes to an airline reservation not made by Regent and guests with an independent air program will need to make the necessary arrangements themselves. Regent will reimburse for any reasonable air change fee assessed by the airlines, if not covered by the guest’s travel insurance. Guests with independent air arrangements will need to submit receipts of any reasonable air change fee to our Guest Relations department online via www.rssc.com/post-cruise-inquiry-form. Please note that any hotel stays or incidentals will be at guest’s own cost - please refer to your travel insurance provider to verify if such expenses would be covered under “Trip Delay”. Regent will cover the cost for any new Visas or that guests require to sail Seven Seas Mariner’s modified 2024 World Cruise. In addition, we are clarifying which countries may require proof of a Yellow Fever vaccination to be able to visit. We will provide all relevant information and any required action on the part of guests as soon as possible.
