  1. The reputation that the ship gets as a “swinger ship” made me have to explain to people who asked me if I was on the “swinger ship”, that this was not my cruise. I do not enjoy that reputation from Azamara or from whatever cruise line I am taking. Ivi
  2. In relation to yellow fever vaccines, we were vaccinated every 10 years until about 14 years ago. Then health authorities worldwide advised not to get the vaccine again if you were older than a certain age, which we are. Which country is requesting those vaccines in Africa? They do not take into account the age of the person? We have been in several countries in Africa many times. We never had problems with vaccines. Ivi
  3. What do yo mean? We picked a cruise at the current prices which were of course more expensive than our booked and cancelled cruise.
  4. I am happy to report that I have now my cruise booked with Explora in replacement to my cancelled cruise from Brazil. I will have to wait until the middle of next year to experience the wonderful Explora 1 but time flies doesn’t it? Ivi
  5. Last year we were also considering a New Year cruise on the Pursuit. It was unfortunately chartered. Some weeks later, while cruising on the Pursuit in South America, I realized that the charter was for swingers. It came on the news of a South American paper. And the Pursuit was called by locals “the swinger ship”. I am not sure that reputation will do Azamara any good. Ivi
  6. In all my cruises I was able to book the transfer to the airport on debarkation day only once onboard. I guess it will be similar with Explora. Ivi
  7. The price is important to me but I have found a cruise which I am willing to book. I guess it will work also for me. It is just taking some time. Ivi

  9. My B2B cruises booked with Explora had a wonderful itinerary leaving from Brazil and arriving in Miami. I had booked that cruise using the offer from Explora of two categories upgrade and US 500 at that time due to my Diamond Membership with MSC. Unfortunately Explora cancelled my cruises. Besides giving me a Future credit discount, Explora has offered to recognize those benefits if I book another cruise instead of asking for my money to be refunded. It is becoming a struggle though. Explora was doing quite well in the booking process and everything was so easy. But in the case of my cancelled cruise, the process reminds me a lot of MSC…and the benefit of the future credit discount is low due to the price increases that the cruises with Explora have had since I have booked my original cruises.   10. I have followed your advice and I was able to download the list of excursions for my cruise. My loyalty, account and booked excursion remain with the same errors. I will have to take care of that once onboard. Ivi

  12. Unfortunately nothing has changed for me. No excursions list, loyalty points not appearing at seatrade, different account at seaware, etc. Oh well…Have a good weekend Ivi

  14. For the single rooms in the Serenity, it says “cozy”. Any idea what this means for those rooms? It will be great to have a comparison to the other guests rooms with window on deck 7 in the Serenity. Ivi

  16. Thank you. I was able to find that, and my information under club programs is zero points and an account appears that doesn’t have to do with my previous membership number. I am discoverer plus though. It is correct to assume that I can get this fixed once onboard? I really do not want to stress my TA unnecessary. She was very frustrated because despite her efforts, she did not manage to get Azamara to provide us correct transfer details. Ivi
  17. It could be an IT problem. I have booked an excursion called the three pearls of coastal from Santa Margarita, but on the seaware page it says my excursion is Cinque Terre. I am sure it will be clarified on board. Less than 20 days now 😃. Ivi
  18. Where do you see your loyalty level on seaware com? I can only see it on the Azamara com. When I go to manage your booking, it takes me to seaware but there I do not see my loyalty. It just says something like „regular“ guest, whatever that means. Ivi

  20. I do not understand that post. Who works for the cruiseline? Who holds the money in which account? Why does the TA does not answer or provide a prove that there was a payment ?
  21. Did your parents paid cash to the TA? Or do they have the credit card statement? For me the TA sounds suspicious… Whenever I pay via my TA, I get a confirmation from Azamara and from my credit card. Ivi
