  1. I am going to go for the one that's not listed, Sovereign Class, Majesty of the Seas.
  2. I tried numerous times yesterday & couldn't do my sign in. After reading about it on here, I logged in & had no troubles completing it.
  3. Thanks John, this is what I was looking for. Trying to decide to Uber of rent a car which would be about $165, we just did it on the 17th of Dec. Then dropping the car off at Budget was crazy, took about 45 minutes to do it. They only had 2 people working. Then it was a long wait for their shuttle to the ship. Uber would definitely be cheaper.
  4. Rick, I haven't heard from you in some time, how are you doing?
  5. Thanks, I was just looking for a ballpark figure not a price quote. I have only used Uber a couple of times.
  6. What is the Uber cost to go from MCO to PC?
  7. I fly out of Midway to FLL, get a hotel in Fort Lauderdale then have SAS pick us up at the hotel for a ride to POM. Go to ridesas.com, they have a list of hotels that they pick up from. The price is $15.00 per person each way. After your cruise they will pick you up at the port & take you to FLL. I have used them many times.
  8. The Jewel coming from Cozumel, on 12-21 spotted a small craft in the water. The ship stopped & launched a boat to check on them. They were having engine problems but were able to get it started. They were given water & supplies from our ship. The ships boat returned & off we went. A few hours later another small craft was spotting. We slowed but never stopped. No ships boat was launched. The Captain didn’t say anymore about the second boat so they must have communicated they were fine.
  9. Perfect timing, we sail on the Jewel 12-17. We are D+ but we will be with a Gold member so no loyalty lounges anyway.
  10. Coco Cay had a place for Diamond and up. I believe it was Diamond & up, if not someone will correct me.
  11. The only issue that I had was on the app, it didn't clear the first cruise until latter during the first day of the second cruise. It wouldn't let me watch the muster drill information, I had to go to the muster station. They had me watch a person put on the life jacket, then I was good to go.
  12. If that passenger needed to be at the airport in 30 minutes, hadn't even gotten off the ship or picked up their luggage and went through customs. They wouldn't have made it to the airport on time.
  13. I know about the drills. I had a brief case full of electrical tools that I had to take to the fire or drill. Normally that case and I were some distances apart, so I would first have to run to get my tools, then run to the scene. I was an EM3, Electricians Mate Third Class.
  14. When I was in the Navy, I got put on the fire detail as the electrician. This was on an aircraft carrier, fortunately there weren't any fires while I served on that detail.
  15. I always use SAS, it's $15.00 per person each way. The web site is ridesas.com
  16. I was on the Explorer Aug. 6th, I saw bottles of wine being sold at the Pool Bar.
  17. I did recheck and I did get double points. Then I checked my refrigerator magnets & found it was a Diamonds in December promotion.
  18. In 2012 I was getting double points for going solo. in 2010 I got points using the old system. So between those years, they changed.
  19. I just did a B2B, on the second cruise the Royal App hadn't reset to my new cruise. While checking in at the muster station they had two others and myself go through the putting life jackets on drill. We were then done with the muster station.
  20. I have had it happen a few times, only my TA could access my reservation.
  21. The last time that I was there they had a small bus that took people from the ships to the terminal building and back.

  23. https://www.bestwestern.com/en_US/book/hotels-in-fort-lauderdale/best-western-fort-lauderdale-airport-cruise-port/propertyCode.10272.html This will check your boxes, this is where we stay. They will pick you up at the airport & depending on which port you sail out of, there is a shuttle to Port Everglades for a fee. If out of Miami, SAS will pick you up at the hotel for the ride to Miami for $15.00 per person.
