I think apart from Casablanca you can easily create your own excursion. For example Gran Canaria docks straight in centre, 15 min walk to lovely beach, there are numerous shops etc, in Funchal, great hop on off buses, plus easy walk to cable car and just buy tickets there.alicante lovely port, nice Bach, good shopping, just walk into town fromwhere ship docks, again in Malaga, easy walk into city centre, just do own research first, you can save lots of money, and create whAt you want, but I know personal choice,

hi, can anyone help please we are large family group booked on NCL Dawn sailing out of Tampa next year. We are from the Uk

We will be spending 6 days post cruise in the USA not sure where yet, but are looking to hire mini bus for the duration and hope to drop mini bus off at Miami as we fly from there.

My questions are.

Is this doable, can we pick up hire bus at the cruise port and return to Miami.

Any suggestions on which company to use.

Any suggestions for where to stay, looking for family base. That wouldn't require much travelling and where we could walk out in evening to restaurants etc without van.

DD already stayed in Cape Coral and liked it, any thought/suggestions?

we are looking to book mini bus 12 seater, we are from uk. Arriving in Tampa for cruise. We want mini bus post cruise for six days.

Is it doable to hire mini bus from the cruise port and drop off in Miami which is our airport for departure.

Recently done 3 ncl cruises last one included new year, first time took tuxedo and evening dresses after that first one didn't do so again, hubby now takes suit, not tux I take smart dresses, tops, but find ncl cruisers all very mixed, the name freestyle is just that, one night we were in nice outfits, and others dancing alongside us were in shorts, t shirts, felt bizarre, but now got used to it, all been cruises in Europe. We too are on jade to Norway enjoy, but don't expect it to be like other cruise lines formal nights, it certainly isn't.

I wondered about laundry bag, I had assumed you could get 50% off the 19.95 dollars if you were gold status, is that not correct, anyone done it?

I disagree, my family and I were on the epic and I had heard of a specific drink and wanted to try it, (it was on cruise critic post that listed drinks to try). First time I asked for it waiter brought thedrinks for us, the next time a different day the bar man at the bar refused to make it for me. In fact we wanted 4, one for each of us. We challenged and he still refused, he told us outright we could only have drinks that were listed on the drinks menu. I spotted the waiter who served us previous, this waiter said he would get them for us from another bar, and he did. And I later made management aware of the incident, both the good and the bad members of staff.

We were haven passengers by the way, but that should make no difference. So can you only get drinks that are listed on the menu?

Can anyone tell me please what CAS is, I keep seeing it and am completely stumped!

Can I check please, I thought I read somewhere they were also honouring the extra point for booking 9 months in advance if you booked before Feb 3rd?

I'm going on a Baltic cruise next month. I was originally booked on Getaway, but my travel buddy and I switched to a 14-night sailing on P&O Arcadia. It's an adult-only ship, and it has a covered pool, but there are four formal nights so very different from NCL. The big reason we switched is because we saved almost $900 on airfare by flying into London and sailing out of Southampton even as we are paying essentially the same price for a cruise that is five nights longer.

 

I've been using CC for much of my planning. I'm also using Rick Steves Northern European Cruise Ports, which you can download from that jungle website or buy in print. Between the two, I feel like I'm very prepared. We booked a 14-person two-day tour of St. Petersburg through the cruise line; otherwise I think we're going to DIY it.

We did Baltic cruise on PO Arcadia we loved it, but we do love formal nights and dancing so suited us perfectly. The crew were lovely, the drinks unexpensive, the only ship excursion we did was in STP and well worth the money but not as expensive as NCL. In Stockhom a must to visit in my opinion I see the Vasa museum we got up early gotbthe first taxi boat, it it hop on off all day ticket fir little cost, we got to vasa just as it opened had at least hour in there almost alone before it started to busy up, then after several hours we keft and hopped on off taxi boat at various locations to see sights, whole trip about 40 Euro for two. The covered pool is great. Have a lovely time

Does the washing come back creased on a wash and fold bag? I thought it might if you have rolled items to get a lot in.

Is it possible to get iron and ironing board to the cabin as I'm aware no self use laundry rooms on NCL unlike other cruise lines.

Thank you for sharing that information, my daughter booked upgrade last Easter when we were on the Epic but it wasn't a auction bid then. She moved from a mini suite to two bed haven suite it was lovely and great for them with the xhildren. I will keep eye out nearer our cruise. Did they email you with availability or did you just keep checking?

Just got e-mail confirm. Scored an upgrade 10 days before sailing. Inside Stateroom to Mid-Ship Balcony. Bid lowest amount showing on the "Fair" scale. WooHoo!

We have mid ship inside cabin for for booked not till August our cruise but insides been fully booked fir months and just seen outsides booked as well, price for balcony high, we decided to book inside due to cost always done balcony or mini suite on Eouc but good prices, wondered if chance ncreses if all lower priced cabins gone early. How can I confirm that the bookings I made for this years cruises are Insider deals. I booked them from the Insider deal page whilst logged into myNCL but have no confirmation that they were booked as Insider deals. What with the new Latitudes rewards tier situation I want to make sure I'm getting all the points I think I'm entitled to.

I had the same query with my lattitude booking. I have nowhere on my invoice that it shows insider offer, so I emailed lattitude office under the contact us email on NCL web page, they emailed me back and said my booking is insider offer and I will get additional points when I disembark cruise.

I just went to NCL page, scrolled to bottom and contact us....it gave list of options I choose lattitude and then option for lattitude Europe I suspect email address different if you are out of Europe.
