  1. Can anyone clear this one up for me.

I am at 56 points did need 20 for platinum now need 24

We have cruise booked for August 10 nights booked last Oct so should qualify for 1 extra pint per night. Equal 20 points

At the time it was also latitude insider offer so extra point per night?

I can't see that shown anywhere.

    Any thoughts?

Just an update I emailed the lattitude office they emailed me back virtually straight away to say checked my booking and it is latitude offer and I will get my extra points when I disembark plus other points so happy days. I will reach my platinum level at end of next cruise as I hoped I would.

  3. On recent cruise on spirit in the restaurants we were only offered menu that showed coffee that you had to pay for.

Is that the same on all NCL ships?most cruiseline offer waiter served coffee or tea with Dinner complementary.

  4. A friend told me this story of a family on their first cruise.

The couple got to cruise car park in Southampton and handed over their car keys with valet parking to park the car. They then excitedly boarded the ship for their first ever cruise.

Later got to the cabin and waited and waited for their luggage, it didn't come so went to reception. After long searches and no joy, luggage not found. It was finally realised they had left all their luggage still in the boot of the car!

They thought that valet parking meant that person would have unloaded luggage onto ship of course they hadn't, so no clothes for two weeks, nightmare!

  5. Just off spirit, it was quite choppy sailing from Casablanca to canaries, pool was emptied and shows changed. Also from Maderia to Malaga. But been in worse.

Rolled a bit, like other poster said sway was comical to watch people including me try to walk straight!

  6. We were also on this cruise, had lovely time we didn't do any excursions we have done this itinary before, last time was at Easter on the Epic, I preferred thus ship to the Epic.

We however thought shows far better on Epic. I wanted to leave first show after 10 mins, magicians dire, elements worth watching.

We did have fabulous weather, much better than at Easter.

  7. We were on a New Years cruise with the Norwegian Spirit to the Canaries almost 3 years ago, and the ship had beautiful Christmas decorations around the ship. For New Years Eve the main party where the captain made the countdown was in the Atrium and in the bars on the deck above, where it is open down to the Atrium. No fireworks, instead there was a release of colored balloons that were dropped at midnight. Did sound like fireworks though, when the balloons started "popping". The cruise director staff was giving out paperhats and whistles, and the bars gave out free "champagne". The majority of the passengers were dressed very nice - much more so than on a regular NCL cruise. Lot's of men in tux'es or suits and women in cocktail dresses or evening gowns. I was however disappointed that the specialty restaurants just had their regular menu - in my opinion they should have offered a few special items on the menu on New Years Eve....

Thank you for reply and photos great :):):):)

  8. Well I have completed my Online Check in and it does allow me to access my Vacation Summary.

Not sure if the problem has been fixed or I have just been lucky.

For some reason though I find it virtually impossible to access or amend via any of my apple devices so I tried on my work PC (where all of the browsers are pretty out of date) and it is fine!!!!

I have had an email from NCL customer services to say they have now blocked my account whilst they try to fix the problem. I like your mention of not working for you when using Apple devices as that I s how I have tried to access.

Sadly I can't try at work as PC set not to give access to travel sites!

  9. Is it the "Uh Oh we need a vacation" message?

I believe that's NCLs prob - not your browser..

I am very tech savvy and was getting that message - after a week it was fixed for around 24 hours - but came back again

Doesn't work by clearing cookies - using different browsers, indeed, different pc systems

    Its NCLs tech glitch ..

Thank you, I was starting to think it was me! NCL have again just told me to change my password!

With regard to trying it from another computer, my travelling party are in same geographical area, in fact next door! They have never had a problem.

    But I will try.

You would have thought if NCL have had it before they would know how to resolve it.
