  1. I don’t think so. By the time you get your rejection emails, the bidding will more than likely be closed for you. Not to mention bids on the suites will have been received and accepted.
  2. Hopefully he won’t run into traffic.
  3. For those that wondered, here is Princess fine print explanation about an accepted bid: Once a Bid is accepted, the Guest is legally bound to complete payment for the price stated in the Bid. If a Guest's credit card does not go through, is declined, or cannot otherwise be charged, PCL may (but is not required to) reach out to the Guest for an alternate method of payment or may disqualify the Successful Bidder and return the Guest to their original category, all in its sole discretion
  4. Don’t understand your negative attitude. I was just pointing out for those that didn’t know, you don’t need your TA or to call Princess, to pay for your upgrade. If you had read the fine print of the bidding process you would have known you have to provide your payment information again. Congratulations on your winning a bid.
  5. You don’t have to nit can be done without your TA.
  6. Go to your acceptance email from Princess or go into your booking online on their website, find the bidding upgrade area, go through the process of providing last name and booking number, then your bidding offers will show with the meters to change it. That’s the long way. Easy is through your email acceptance.
  7. Yes. It’s part of the bidding agreement. No choice in cabin and you can’t change your mind once the bid has been accepted.
  8. You pay through your cruise personalized page on their website. The directions are in the bid offer email. Congratulations!
  9. We’re there aft penthouse suites open on their website? Curious bc I bid on a penthouse suite for our 11/26 cruise but they were sold out at the time I bid on it and it’s still in pending status.
  10. Thank you. We bid on club class mini but so far no rejection or acceptance. We cancelled the mini suite bid as we were concerned about location. We are happy with our D4 premium deluxe balcony assignment.
  11. Cancelled the mini suite bid. Got concerned it might not be a location we would enjoy. Happy with our D4 cabin. Just wish the bathroom was a little bigger.
  12. We got our cabin assignment today. No free upgrade, just the exact category of our GTY booking. So I added a mini suite bid to our other bid categories but only offered the minimum we are happy with our D4 but thought we’d try for a mini at minimal bid cost. There are mini suites open per their website. I will let you know how it goes.

  14. Yes per YouTube videos from previous passengers. One at each bedside table lamp.
  15. I don’t understand why you blame Princess for booking an inside but really wanting a balcony. A TA would have made no difference in the pricing issue. Princess would have told them the same thing. You made an assumption and you were wrong. Now you want to blame the cruise line.
  16. I meant they wouldn’t block a category just for upgrades, like full suites for example. They can get more money from people that book them at going rate. If they are still open around final payment time, then I think they might become available for bidding. I don’t think they block any category for bidding. It doesn’t make sense. There could be people on wait list for a particular category too. My 2 cents. We are all guessing anyway.
  17. I don’t think Princess would block cabins of any category for bidding. It goes against increased revenue.
  18. It’s like the upgrade fairy. Nobody knows how they pick to accept bids. I’d guess it leans more toward how bad they need your booked cabin. IMHO
  19. Actually not true. Per Princess, highest bid does not ensure winning. Bid Acceptance Process: Throughout and after the conclusion of the Bidding Period, PCL will compile all then-existing Bids for the various stateroom categories for the Cruise and may accept a Bid from a Guest for each available upgrade room (the "successful Bidder"), taking into consideration multiple factors and items. PCL will review Bids based on highest positive revenue impact, but reserve the right to consider and review other and different factors. All Bids will be converted to USD at the time they are considered. All determinations as to which Bid (if any) is accepted, who the Successful Bidder is (if any), and what is considered in accepting a Bid shall all be determined by PCL in its sole and absolute discretion. Successful Bidders are subject to verification. The highest Bid may not be accepted and Guest that places the highest Bid for a stateroom category is not guaranteed to be the Successful Bidder.
  20. Sorry for being repetitive. Thank you for the information.
  21. When is your cruise? Seems they don’t start accepting or rejecting until close to the sail date.
  22. How do you get your boarding time with a medallion ship (Discovery) and can you change if you don’t like it. We are not early boarders.
  23. We had to book a GTY bc they weren’t allowing specific cabin bookings in the category we wanted. Sometimes people don’t have a choice. It’s not about cost in that case.
  24. Has anyone booked a lounger in The Sanctuary and found someone using it when you got there bc they liked your location better than theirs? If so, how did you deal with it? Management issue?
