  1. Read the terms for the specific policy you are considering for details on purchase deadlines. For instance, depending on the policy, they may require purchasing within 7 days after booking if you want pre-existing conditions to be covered.

There is no right answer for every policy and consumer. That's why it is vital for folks to carefully research trip insurance (any insurance, really) and select a policy that covers their potential exposures adequately.

Thank you. I appreciate the advice.

  2. Hi,

I am looking for post refurbishment pictures of this cabin. After days of searching I was able to find a review with a few photos but I would like to see more to really get a good orientation of space.

If anyone has stayed in this cabin please let me know if their is adequate room for a third adult guest outside of the bedroom.

    Thanks,

    Cherie

A third person could be in the cabin. The bed would be the pullout couch in the LR. This would cut down on living space during and over night. The cabin has an extra bathroom near the entrance but not a shower. I would miss the living space at night or first thing in the morning.

If I remember there's a curtain that separates the LR from the main bedroom.

  3. When is the best time to sail our of Boston to Bermuda next year with minimal kids on the ship? September? October? November? December? What is the "freestyle" cruising like? Love it or Hate it?

May or early June is a good time. There will always be kids onboard but July August can be the peak time. We just sailed 6/30 and thought there would be a lot of kids, but it wasn't too bad.

Freestyle works for us but if you plan a specialty resturant on the last couple of nights I would suggest a reservation. On our recent trip I heard complaints about the resturants being full. Enjoy.

  4. We have had it work i TWO different manners....once we were asked to retrieve new room keys and the other times we were able to use the same key on each segment. As one poster mentioned there is also information put inside of your stateroom as the staff is aware of those doing B2Bs. Also, on some occasions we were made to do the muster drill on each segment and others we were not...

When you leave the ship, they will give you a sticker....most times it reads "Still on Vacation" which is what was still being used in May of this year. Make sure that you do insist on letting the crew know as you do NOT have to wait in those lines and they will let you through with little to no waiting. BUT...you have to be insistent as not all crew/staff are aware.....

Best to stop by guest services the last day or two of your first segment...and do attend the meeting for your fellow B2B passengers as they will give you the phone number of a crew member that will be in charge of your group to assist you in getting through the disembarkation, etc.

I cannot comment on the time frames for your plans for the day as I do not know Miami that well.....But can tell you that it is certainly a RUSH to see all those sad faces at the end of that first leg of the journey and to know that you will be back onboard in no time "Still on Vacation!"

Coincidentally, we are doing the same B2B as you are!

Thank you for the tips since my DW and I will be B2B next March.

  5. A report in USA today says that air fares have been rising and they expect them to continue to go up. $1000 from Boston is not a bad fare to HNL. I end up paying $600 from central NC to MIA.

Thank you. I haven't seen that article. I appreciate your feedback,

  6. One thing that has changed, at least on the Dawn, is switching out for white wine. I've done that for several cruises and they wouldn't let me do that on my cruise two weeks ago. I was told it was a home office decision to no longer allow switching out to a different wine if you didn't like the sparkling wine.

  7. We leave this Sunday and are traveling with a party of 9. I've Noticed that online it only shows even numbers on the drop down menu. Is it not possible to have a table that accommodates an odd number?? :o

I traveled with 9 last week and once on board made reservations in the various restaurants. It worked out fine. I would suggest making reservations, if all 9 are going to dine together, at least on sea days. I find the last two days of a cruise are the busiest and make reservations early in the cruise.

  8. Bermuda "rain" can be like a kid with a hose; hit and miss all at the same time. The rain is wet and the sun is hot.;)

We sailed 6/30 to 7/7 and Bermuda was exactly that - some parts of the island raining and others perfectly nice weather.

The weather, at sea, both down and back was calm with rain on the Wednesday of our return.

  9. We're sad to be back home from our June 9th Bermuda cruise, so we just booked the Dawn's 14 day Eastern Caribbean Oct 26th, 2018. Something to look forward to.

The best thing is that it's Boston to Boston round trip-------no flight or hotel expenses for us.

I know, that one is so tempting, but we have Hawaii next spring. One can't do them all. Boston to Boston is so easy.

I'm trying to talk DW to do Bermuda this September. This past cruise was with family and we do love to cruise with just the two of us.

  10. Our extended family was on same cruise. We all had a great time and weather was good with only one dreary day on the way back.

We ate in LaCucina, Cagney's twice and Los Lobos - all good. We were surprised how good the Chinese resturant was.

Really sad to be back home.
