Hi Davey We are going in sept but not a cruise.

We were on the Whisper last June 2022 .She was in great shape.Service was great and everything was in working order. I would not hesitate to book again .The one thing you may not like is the smaller size(we like) and fewer restaurants(not a problem for us).Give it a try and don' t worry.I am sure you will have a great time.

Not sure if this helps.We have had the share holders credit at least 5 times. I have never received any notice but it has always been there when we arrive on the ship.I would take a copy of your shares just in case.

Davey are you looking to book SS again? We have had nothing but issues so have decided to move on.Do not consider Taulk they were worse than a Carnival cruise.In the past Taulk was wonderful cutbacks since Covid were so bad we did not know it was a Taulk trip except for the price.

Yes I agree the side trips for Alaska were pretty much worthless. W are on what they called a safari tour we saw a duck.We said we could see more in our backyard.

no plans just got back from a Taulk tour that was awful.It was a credit from 2019 that we had to use.It was suppose to be a River cruise but that did not work out.We had to use the credit or loose it.I am getting hesitate about booking anything at this point.

I so agree we don t need black tie but dressing nicely is not that hard.

I can only comment on our experience.In June on the Shadow we asked if my husband could wear jeans on the last. We needed to pack.Told no.We dressed everynight and enjoy it but the last night would have been nice.

We were on the Shadow and told absolutely no jeans at night.

Hi Davey We finally got to take another SS cruise after the one we shared. This was to Alaska not our first choice but wanted to use up our credits.When we arrived at the airport we were not met by anyone.First thought was here we go again.We took a cab to the hotel and would deal with it later .The hotel was probably a 2 or 3 star hotel not up to previous standards.I understand that Alaska has limited hotels but the staff was surly.The cruise now was worrisome.Arrived at the terminal and after many papers to be checked we were on board.Met our Butler who was more than a 5 star.The best we have ever had on our previous 6 cruises with SS.The food had improved greatly.We were most pleased.Service again had improved.We did meet with the Hotel manager about the airport and hotel experience. He did admit they were having problems with both and thanked us for talking with him.Overall the trip was very good.Problems happen but it is how they are handled that makes the difference.Sorry so long and I probably hijacked this thread but wanted to tell you about our recent experience. I am sorry I have tried to be polite but this getting crazy. It is a Jacket dont want to wear one eat in your room ,.

As I said we were on the Whisper last week.4 out of 7 nights jackets were requires for dinner at the Main Dining Room. A lot of men took them off to eat so really a silly rule.No jackets were required on the ship after dinner.The jackets were handed out for the men who did not have one.

We just got off the Shadow,Alaska If you did not have a jacket in the Dining Room 4 out of 7 nights they gave you one.I was very surprised.My husband always travels with a sport coat so no issues for us.None in the Italian restaurant.

Found all our documents in spam never before.

Just got off the phone with SS. Pier side testing is only being done for Europe.
