1. I always bring my own shampoo. The stuff in the dispenser does not work well if you have any hair. I guess there are no conditioners in it, so it is hard to pull a comb through after. Regarding the Virtual Balcony, I agree it is not worth the extra cost. Just takes away seating.

I don't know if you have a problem after swimming or snorkeling but I have found if you take a small spray bottle with very watered down conditioner you can just spritz your hair and be able to comb it right thru!

  2. There's an alternate way to get to your reservation.

    Go to RCI's home page.

At the top/left of the page click on "Check-in", fill in the blanks and click submit.

You are now on the Online Check-In page.

Click "Exit and View the Reservation", click OK to leave the current page and you should then see the familiar "Countdown to Cruise" reservation page.

Thanks I will give it a try!

  3. Sadly it is the same with any business, you get the complainers - rarely do those who enjoyed themselves and had no complaints bother to call and tell you what a great job you are doing.

I personally am looking forward to our first cruise on Royal, though it seems all the lines are doing cutbacks. Some are bothersome and some I could care less about. There are a lot of things that they must take into consideration when making choices. You are never going to please everyone.

For instance the chocolates at night at turndown, I never eat them. So if they take them away it doesn't bother me. Personally I hated throwing them away as I really felt it was a waste. Food I never really pay attention to comments as food is subjective and what is fantastic to one person is downright awful to another.

I have never had a bad cruise, now occasionally service was a little odd or slow, or maybe you encounter a rudeemployee or passenger. It happens everywhere, I don't let it bother me. You just have to go with the flow.

Thank you. I will be sailing on my first RCL cruise this Dec. I am looking forward to seeing another companies view on cruising. I have to admit reading some of the reviews and comments make me afraid of what my experience will be with RCL. I have been a loyal NCL customer and have been nothing but thrilled with my experience on all NCL cruises. I will be sailing on Oasis of the seas this Dec 5th and I am hopeful that I have a relaxed and beautiful experience !

  4. It's not tied to a particular device, it's tied to the user name and password you choose when signing up for the plan. We only had the plan for one device but accesses the Internet from my iPad, my wife's iPad and occassionally one in the game room, not at the same time. I would guess the plan for two would work the same, just register one under you brother in law's user name and password and one under yours. The price is $15 per day for one device and $7.50 per day for the second one. This is current as we just got off the Allure yesterday.

Thanks. I think this may be a way to keep in touch with others when we do different things on board. Also we can keep in touch with home. Last cruise we were on our youngest child at home went thru a break up and we were not there to console her. :(

  5. On an Oasis class ship there are several different plans.

One will allow just one device at a time

Others will allow multiple devices at a time. If you bounce between tablets, laptops along with your SO's you just need to make sure your correctly logged off, otherwise you may have problems.

Can you share the second device with someone in another cabin? Like one for our cabin and the other for brother in law in another cabin. So we can msg each other and keep in touch to tell each other where we are.

  6.
On a recent NCL cruise, we were given a nut mix every time we ordered a drink at the various bars. Did not see/receive any bar snacks on a previous cruise on the Oasis. Are bar snacks available on RCL cruises if requested? Thanks
Love those snacks!
