bigbenboys replied to Rustyman's topic in Celebrity Cruises
If things do not change at Celebrity our June sailing on Apex to Iceland will be our last for awhile. -

"Royal Caribbean Group has also modified itineraries on fall transpacific sailings calling in Lahaina. The Celebrity Solstice and Brilliance of the Seas will instead include an overnight call in Kona. The Quantum of the Seas will call in Honolulu and the Ovation of the Seas will call in Victoria, B.C., and Seattle." https://www.travelweekly.com/Cruise-Travel/Cruise-lines-modify-Hawaii-itineraries

We also ate on Millie at the RSD. Us from Seattle and friends from England were fine with 70°+ F. But friends from Tampa had to go get their jackets. X blankets were not enough. It was an port day in Ketchikan. We had walked to Totem Heritage Center and walked back via Married Man Lane to Creek Street.😲 The food and drink were good. It was an nice change. I think the staff were happy to see us 6.

NOW I have a problem with the new Suite policies
bigbenboys replied to sixpackeddie's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Inquiring minds want to know. If Luminae is adding or offering upcharges to its menu. Is the upcharge product better quality of lobster or steak than what is being offered on the Luminae menu. As Luminae has a limited menu on the E Class ships. Will we have those options on the E Class ships. As the MDR kitchen is not close to Luminae and its kitchen on E Class ships. -
NOW I have a problem with the new Suite policies
bigbenboys replied to sixpackeddie's topic in Celebrity Cruises
We did 2 sailings on Millie in sky suites in Jan 2016 and Jan 2017. In 2016 X had not introduced Retreat Managers. We were back on Millie in 2017 with a Retreat Manager. X had added the Retreat Manager, but removed 2 butlers. One from each side of deck 6. The story was that the Retreat Manager was there to solve problems so the Butlers could take care of guests. We have sailing in sky suite 8 to 10 times. Only once did I talk to a Retreat Manager. -
Eliminating Butlers - Spoke to Celebrity. Here is conversation.

Blu serves pigeon why would Luminae not serve crow. -
Yes all sky suites are been 8. I'm confusing Sky Sunset Suites and Sunset Suite now Horizon Suite. My bad.

Aqua Sky suites have a large overhang from the OVC. If your looking for Captains Club points. Sunset Sky Suite gives 12 like RS and CS. Sky Suites gives 8. Those old sky suites now Aqua are my favorite on S class ship. https://www.celebritycruises.com/content/dam/celebrity/new-images/Captain-Clubs-Benefits-Brochure-V8.pdf

Pole ‘inside’ Aqua Sky suite on Solstice
bigbenboys replied to FengShui@Sea's topic in Celebrity Cruises
#2125 is not a Aqua Sky Suite. AS are mostly under the carpeted area of the OVC. 2115-2123 and 2114-2122 on Solstice. We have stayed many times in these cabins. -
On Celebrity at this time all suites have access to the Retreat Sundeck on E Class ships. This is a private outdoor area with a small pool, lounge chairs, bar and lunch area. None of Celebrity's other class of ship have a private pool for suite guest. You also get a suites restaurant called Luminae for breakfast, lunch (sea days) and dinner and a Retreat Lounge. https://www.google.com/search?q=celebrity+Edge+Retreat+pool&sca_esv=557123608&hl=en&sxsrf=AB5stBiSp_lQhnsfq194cv6s1XVoU6dhYQ%3A1692114205365&source=hp&ei=HZ3bZN3PE43g0PEP57uEiA0&iflsig=AD69kcEAAAAAZNurLWs17fWK0TjN7CVVB9bN5f6u_Sn8&oq=&gs_lp=Egdnd3Mtd2l6IgBIAFAAWABwAHgAkAEAmAEAoAEAqgEAuAESyAEA-AEG&gs_ivs=1&sclient=gws-wiz#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:09e6cfe5,vid:JbE08p-kfnQ

Printed Xpress pass vs app Xpress pass
bigbenboys replied to whataboutport's topic in Celebrity Cruises
We arrived at the pier in Hong Kong to board Millie. Either I did not print out our express passes or forgot them at home. I just gave staff my name and passport. We were onboard in mins. -
Reflection - Deck 14 'Suite Corridor' Balcony Dividers
bigbenboys replied to groovycruiser1's topic in Celebrity Cruises
I not sure, but look at the video at 3:27 the outdoor hot tub and the frosted door/window. See the small round silver key hole. That should be for the allen wrench that opens the door. Photo from Summit deck 11, same design. Black round hole. Dedicated pre-cruise Retreat Concierge. Call 1-877-RETREAT and ask. -
We are booked on your cruise also. We are in an CS for $12,400 out of Vancouver on Solstice. Just looked at now prices for an CS on Solstice. Only about $200 more than when I booked last Nov. Edge Sept 6 out of Seattle for a CS is $17,200. I've already decided to cancel our CS and have book an aft PH on Discovery Princess for Mexico. We did 2 Alaska cruises last year. In my eyes Hubbard glacier is the glacier to see. Our cruise on Millie out of Seward was great. You get a better overall view of Alaska. We are leaving out of Vancouver next month on Eclipse going down the west coast. The cruise is costing about $6500 for an 7 night in an CS. We booked last Sept.

What I remember about Millie when X built her. Celebrity said it was an no smoking ship. While I was reboarding Millie in the Caribbean in 2001. I remember seeing cartons of cigarettes being held for you until the last evening of the cruise. It did not last long. Non smoking was the reason we changed from Holland and Royal to Celebrity in 2001. Now that it looks like X might have vaping inside we have booked a Princess cruise.

Luminae M and S class Blu M and S class The Porch Sushi on Five I had ribeye in Tuscan Grille and LCG. Both times the steak was not great. I was so disappointed in Luminae on the Edge. Booked on Apex in a sky suite in 2024 only because of friends. I'm planning on trying Grand Bistro for prime rib and Raw on Five for the tower and raw oysters. Trying Murano again next month. It is ok. Booked it to spend OBC.

Party of nine on Summit. Trying to book dining
bigbenboys replied to leisuretraveler223's topic in Celebrity Cruises
I've tried booking online for Murano. We are in a CS suite and MIL and sister not in suite. I cant book all 4 of us together. I can book 6:30 for us 2, but MIL only has 9:30 available. I called shoreside suite concierge number and the took care of it. No wait time. -
1st Princess cruise in 12 years. Is this Medallion our what I call seapass card. Do we scan this Medallion chip when we get on and off the ship? Pay for drinks?
