We tried it on the Bliss last month. All five of us agreed that we’d never go there again. The ribs were dry. The pulled pork was mostly the burnt ends. I like some burnt ends, but I also want to enjoy moist pulled pork. The regular corn bread was dry. I eat gluten-free and the GF corn bread was actually moist and not too bad. The banana pudding was a very weird texture—almost too thick. The bread pudding was the strangest we’ve ever seen; it looked like a mashup of bread pudding and flan. The person who got it said it was terrible.
The music was fine, but once it started it was too loud for any conversation at the table.
You stated my thoughts exactly.

No Link.
Your booking begins with any OBC provided through Princess. You can see these amounts by logging into your Princess booking and selecting 'payments.' Any amount that is posted can be used pre-cruise to book excursions. You can not use OBC pre-cruise for booking anything else, example specialty dining.
Once on board it is simple basic debit (+) & credit (-) accounting. Assuming you have OBC your on board account begins with a credit balance. Any* on board expense is added to your on board account as it occurs and nets against your account balance. If your account is linked to another such as your spouse then there is a summary account which nets the individual accounts to achieve a single balance. The on board accounting system uses non refundable OBC first and then refundable OBC.
A few examples of on board purchases that will net against your account are:
On board shop purchases. Beverages or beverage purchases in excess of the plus /premier limits. Specialty or casual dining purchased on board. Daily gratuities**. Wifi**. Room & Ocean Now Service**. Special food that has a charge. Excursions purchased on board. Bingo. Casino play charged to your on board account***.
* Future Cruise Deposits (FCDs) are excluded. These are charged directly to your credit card.
** These items are included in the Plus & Premier fares. If you have the standard fare then there is a daily/pp gratuity charge, a charge for wifi internet, and a one time charge for Ocean Now as well as a $5 charge for each phone call order to room service.
*** Casino play, slots and tables can be charged to your on board account and will net against any credit balance. However, you must play, win or lose. You can not use the casino as an ATM. Example, charging $100 to your on board account, taking a couple of pulls on the slot and then cash out. If you do this your casino account will be locked.
Thank you. This is helpful.

Hi, can anyone point to a link from Princess that discusses the OBC given by Princess? What can it be used for? Thanks.

I found a number on the United web site to call for “United is dedicated to providing convenient and comfortable service to all of our customers. If you need to request any special accommodations, please let us know ahead of time by calling” & it took me to a company, not United, wanting to give me an emergency device to wear. The person was very curt on the phone when I asked if they were from United.
What does the letter from your doctor say?
Guess I’ll call the main United number. Too bad as I just paid yesterday to upgrade my seats.
Thanks for your help!
Tom😀
Many scammers set up phone numbers that are one digit different than major numbers , like United, that people call often. They do this to sell you something or gather info from you. You may have misdialed. If you suspect they are not United, just hang up and call the United again. Good luck.

Thank you and thanks also for the link.

What hours are the Gastropub open now that they have changed the price?

We just missed the bus last month and an Ncl crew member said we could share a taxi with her. It was $14 total. Taxi held 7 So it was two dollars apiece. She even showed us exactly where to stand for the return bus from Walmart. Wonderful NCL crew as always.

You can also try :"Roberts Hawaii". Check online or call them to discuss. We used them for several island tours pre-covid, including a wonderful Volcano Nat Park tour, but I believe they have scaled back since then. If you check online, make sure you choose "Shore Excursions" for "Cruises".

How does one train to be a rock watcher?
The first time we went to Alaska, we were given this advice by the Wildlife Naturalist on board. She said: "Watch the brown rocks on the shore, if one moves, it's a bear!"
So, am I qualified for the job?

Trying to fill out the special needs form for NCL and I get this Reservation number entered is invalid or not available please check or try again later.
Tried for 2 days now, anyone else having problems? I know I have the right reservation numbers, getting them straight from the NCL website.
I had that happen recently too. I emailed them to report it and they said please try again. It worked that time. I wonder if they had to reset something.

Southwest Airlines was a problem for us. I think it had to do with the fact that you can't check it until 4 hours till flight time. At the last minute, while on the ship in 2022, the ship said we couldn't do it.

Getting annoyed with AARP. My wife has tried several times now to purchase Princess gift cards and every time it says there is a problem with the purchase. I've purchased them 3 times (groups of 5 each time) using the same computer.
I called AARP and they said to be sure all Ad Blockers were disabled. (I don't have to do that when I buy gift cards.) They also said it the purchase has to be done on a credit card in her name and not one in my name. Been there, done that. (The first time I use a card with my name on it but when it bombed out I tried one with her name.) I've disabled both ad blockers, cleared her cart, cleared cookies for the site and it still gives the same error. (The lady on the phone said clearing things didn't matter but the ad blockers definitely did matter. I just cleared the cookies to be safe.)
I'm not sure what else to try. Perhaps I'll clear everything again and wait until Monday and then try again. We really would like to get more than 5 per month as we have enough cruises booked to use quite a few cards and when the amount owed gets that large getting a 10% discount is significant.
Are you using different browsers? Sometimes sites will have preferred browsers and the others don't work well.

No, in some articles posted previously engineers in Skagway will be doing some testing and monitoring of the rocks. This will be a key part of the solution for this year since ice melting in the rocks above the pier may have destabilized the hillside further.
Thank you.

I'm guessing info will be communicated a week or two before sailing. It sounds like there will be testing in April in skagway, and that may change the assumptions for how this year will operate.
Hi, Do you mean COVID testing?

Looks very interesting! The only thing is I noticed not a lot about it (such as price and operations hours/days) are readily published on the website. Any idea where I can get more info?
Hi, It's called GoldBelt Tramway. This link should help.

Embarkation lunch at Local on Bliss
in Norwegian Cruise Line

We were on the Bliss 2 weeks ago. The Local is pretty small and was always very noisy since it ends at the railing of the atrium. My suggestion is also to do Taste or Savor. Very relaxing in those.
