Mine just went down.
I just did a mock booking today and they are offering an additional $600 OBC plus the overall price is now less than the NCL price when I booked.
Called my TA and my offer is basically the same so it would have been a wash - no point in rebooking to take advantage of what would have been about a $10 credit. However, the overall price of the cruise dropped about $1K on the NCL website from when I originally booked.
Was the $600 OBC shown on the NCL website? I just did a mock booking for my 3 cruises and don't see any OBC. Is it for certain destinations only? I have Caribbean and Alaska. Thanks.

It's 10% off of the remaining Cruise fare after all other discounts. I booked an 11 day Dawn cruise for 1/29/22 and it was 10% off after their "30%" off deal. It does not apply to the port fees or anything else. Not a bad deal with the bev, 4 meals, internet & $50/port excursion plans included.
Thank you. That is good to know.

The actual 10% discount for a future cruise (along with number like a CND) actually appears in my online NCL account.
The 10% off is valid from Dec 02nd 2020 to Dec 31st, 2021
Stay well.

Is it 10% off the cruise fare or 10% off everything in the reservation? Thanks

Thank you, pizzalady1! I'm a huge fan of gingerbread houses so I know that I would enjoy that. With some of the issues with higher rates for hotels & flights and larger crowds over Christmas Day itself, we're thinking about rescheduling our May reservation for the fall or earlier in December as I read that the Christmas decorations are put up right after Thanksgiving. Really appreciate hearing from you!
We did Dec. 8-Dec 15 last year on the Joy and all the decorations were completely up about half way through.

Here is the link.
When you read through you will understand why you will not be going on a 9 day cruise in April. And may not be going on any cruise anytime soon.
https://www.cdc.gov/quarantine/pdf/CDC-Conditional-Sail-Order_10_30_2020-p.pdf
Thank you. I understand it now!! Looks like 9 day Alaska in Sept won't happen either. 😶

I honestly don't care that some posters here believed that the framework would be lifted before November, 2021. That falls into the "wishful thinking" domain that we've seen on Cruise Critic month after month during the pandemic. While everyone can express their own opinions that doesn't make their opinions fact. The fact is that the 7 day limitation and all other aspects of the Conditional Sail Order extend through November 1, 2021 unless modified by the CDC. I congratulate Holland America and Princess for being the first to do the right thing and cancel the longer cruises while other cruise lines are dragging their feet in an attempt to hold on to cruise payments as long as possible in order to maximize their cash on hand.
Hi, I am trying to catch up. Do you have a link to the CDC where the limitation is stated?
We have a 9 day in late April and it is not coming up as a possible cruise that I could book when I log into my Latitudes Account. Although it still comes up if I search without logging in. Thanks.

Just called to reprice my Med on the Epic in Sep 2021. Have an inside and want to move to a PrivaSea balcony and still comes out $100/pp less. All I lose is one specialty dinner, as I booked at 3 and now it is 2. Also, get the extra 7 points.
Of course, I just called and their "system is down", and they are not expecting to be able to do any changes until tonight or tomorrow morning, go figure!!
My PCC was able to finish my re-pricings at 4:00 Pacific Time.
Saved $200 and added Double Lat Points and WIFI to one.
Saved $40 added Double Lat Points on another.

We were able to save $300 on one of ours.

Also, not everyone had a choice of Cash back for other canceled cruises. I the spring, we received notice that the Sun would not go to Alaska for 2020 and they automatically gave us FCC.

I am actually very happy about this news. I have a cruise booked with FCC for March 21 2021. This allows me to keep my booking longer and see what happens with the pandemic. 🙂
I totally agree. We can now decide much closer to the date of our April 2021 cruise, and still be able to get all of the FCC back if we cancel. Previously, we would have started losing a % of the FCC we used to pay for it if we canceled it after the Dec 29 Final Payment date.

Rob Little on the Epic. He had everyone in stitches for each sold out show.

In the past, I could book shore excursions, while having the $50.00 credit per room, and not pay any additional cost of the excursion upfront, only after the excursion was taken. I strongly suggest not paying any money toward an excursion that would be billed at he time of booking it online. From reading and reading all the difficulty of getting refunds, dont do it. there always have been many excursions available to book once you board. Just my opinion
That was the old way. It all changed in Feb or March 2020. You now must pay upfront after they deduct the $50. Also, the $50 is only for the first person, so if the excursion is $45, that is the promotion and you can’t use the $5 on the second person. I , too, am not pleased with but that is the way it is now if you book ahead.

Does anyone know if you can still call NCL and book shore excursions in advance without having to pay upfront like you could with the previous shorex perk?
NCL said “no”. I had to pay as I booked them. I sure won’t book too many ahead now that this is the case.

It was very easy to do at Food Republic in Dec 2019 on the Joy. We each had own tablet so that each order would be correctly charged.

Right, OLD versus NEW way of booking Shore excursions
OLD - go online and book and pay for excursion (prior to $50 discount)
with $50 discount - call NCL shorex desk and book excursion. Payment not required until onboard and shorex taken. Payment reduced by $50 discount. Option 2, pre-book excursion, pay in full and receive $50 discount on your onboard account.
NEW - go online, book excursion through MYNcl, automatically receive $50 discount and Latitude discount and pay for discounted shore excursion.
Obviously, the option to wait until you're onboard to book using OBC would remain.
Done.
I am still confused on one point.
Can you still call NCL Shorex to reserve it?
Do you have to pay upfront if you call NCL Shorex?

This is a link from NCL's Facebook page:
It has a lot more detail for each of the 6 points. Click on each down arrow.

As of right now NCL has several cruises still on for Alaska. I assume they will be cancelled but at this moment our July 6th cruise on the Jewell has not been cancelled.
Hi, you are right. I should have said that the NCL Sun is not going to Alaska in 2020. Thanks for spotting my omission.
-
NCL is not going to Alaska in 2020 at all. So, now it's sailing to the Caribbean and Bahamas instead. We had a trip that was on the Alaska route and learned 2 weeks ago that it was cancelled.

We took a taxi in to town- walked around and went to the museum.
Then we took another taxi back to the cruise port and got to see
much of the small island. The taxi drivers talked about the history.
Very inexpensive do it yourself tour!
Hi, do you have an idea of the cost for a taxi tour, please?
All my booked cruises are now showing this?
