1. I have booked an Azamara cruise more than 10 months in advance and have received the OBC for shore excursions. I agree wholeheartedly with the previous posters about the need to tweak the booking system to enable us to plan in advance and book excursions using the OBC. It's been a while since we cruised with Azamara and I didn't realize that excursions are being canceled for lack of interest (we had that issue with an airport transfer/tour but the wonderful concierge fixed that in a hurry) To have to wait until we are on board and then hope that excursions are still available is absurd and reflects very badly on Azamara. It's almost a "bait and switch" situation....an incentive to book early but then you end up not being able to use the incentive.

Nevertheless, I have faith that Azamara will respond and fix this.

Agree with you completly of being a bait and switch

If you can't use it , Azamara ends up saving at least half of the amount that they would have been paying the tour operator

Hate to think that , but it makes you wonder

  2.
No, our Suite Sale is separate. It is on select voyages and only lasts one week, from today-May 24.
Thanks Bonnie. It was just a thought. The mystery continues !!
  3. Thank you UKtog for the wonderful review. We have always experienced this type of atsmophere on the Journey and unfortunately like you found the Quest to be quite the opposite. I really hope that this review may alert Azamara Miami to perhaps take note and alert the Azamara Quest Hotel Directors to some of the differences between the two ships. In reality there should be the same level of service on both the Quest and Journey. Perhaps Reimagine on Quest will resolve these things ? Let's hope.

  4. Well, it looks like we'll be sailing together since we're on the 3/26 Caribbean cruise and the Transatlantic following it. See you at the M&M.

Yes we will --except unfortunately we won't be on the Transalantic. Look forward to meeting you at the M&M. Cheers.

  5. My impression is that there is more seating in the lounge. It is certainly much more flexible since the large couches have been removed.

Thanks Bill. Just proves that pictures can sometimes be deceptive. Look forward to again enjoying this area pre dining in about 3 weeks time.

  6. Hi Munch,

I may be mistaken, but the amount of seating looked to be the same as what I recalled from past sailings. I'd say IF anything has changed, it's minimal at best, and would not worry about it.

    Hope this helps !

    Thanks Andy for the info.

  7. Just wondering if the seating in the Discoveries Lounge has been cut back as in some photos that have been posted it appears there is less seating ?? A shame if this is the case as this was such a cozy area to meet before dining.

  8. I have just reserved a Club Spa Suite on for the November 2017 Transatlantic.

No where are any pics or any layout renderings to see!

Does somebody has any more info or any real pictures?

Thank you so much and HAPPY SAILINGS!

Google "pictures or renderings of azamara soa suites " Brings up images --the first two images show the spa suite renderings of bathroom and bedroom/suite area.

  9. Absolutely agree nordski. Awkward position is one thing but to put someones job in jeprardy is another. There is lots of other things to spend your OBC on without resorting to this type of behavior.

  10. Bonnie wonder if you could clarify if there has been a change in the tender/docking in Playa Del Carmen/Cozumel port ?? On the Azamara site itinerary now shows docking with time change and no early tender for Playa ??

Also leaving port 1 hour earlier ? Land discoveries still shiws the tender/docking itinerary. Any idea which is now correct ?? Also does Az have shuttles for Cozumel from docking port to Cozumel .? Thanks in advance.

    Sharon

  11. Just noticed that on the March 26 Jungles Temples and Beaches Az Journey that ship is docked at the TMM Intn Pier in Cozumel on the 28 th. Will there be shuttles to downtown tourist area of Cozumel done by Azamara ? Perhaps you could enquire Bonnie ??

    Sharon

  12. Hi Bonnie,

Thanks for checking, we too have planend to stay in Playa del Carmen and visit Tulum and meet the Journey in Cozumel later. Blut I think there was a Little mix-up because the stop in Playa and Cozumel is at the Same day :)

Cozumel is just a short ferry ride from Playa. There is no cruise ship docking in Playa as the docks are all on Cozumel. I would assume they are just anchoring at Playa until a dock space opens up at Cozumel ?? Or perhaps for the early tour listed in Playa?? Very easy to go back and forth between the two. I believe the ferries run every hour and cost $ 10.50 for adult fare. Takes about 45 minutes.

  13. Read my post #69 and then have a go again or try and navigate to the officer schedule page from the main page of the Azamara UK website and you can't:

    https://www.azamaraclubcruises.co.uk

I know I'm not going crazy! My last post on this matter trying to bring it to the attention of Bonnie.:o

    Phil

I just open up the link you posted (UK) and went down to the very bottom of the pg. and click on senior officer schedule and it came up with no problem

  14. This is another video of a V2 veranda cabin recently posted since refurb:

    Phil

In this video it appears that the shelf under sink in bathroom is not completed yet. Saw a different veranda video of 7086 and it shows shelf under sink . Sure hope they have shelves in all and not just the small 2 shelf over toilet area.

  15. Friends of us, who have done several cruise with Azamara do not book again.

Several cruises must have been totally disappointing, especially one in 2014 in Asia with the Quest.

They switched totally to Oceania, and are absolutely satisfied. they now have done several cruises with them and telling me the same things, ddpe mentionend, about the excellent food, the space in the rooms and also about the service.

But, and here is the but, they do not speak a lot english, so they do not have the same contacts we all have with other dear passengers, with the crew, with the officers. The only person they knew better, was Heike, because she is german.

So for them all the things we love with Azamara are not that important.

You mention space in the rooms ?? Does this not depend on if you are on the R class or the O class of Oceania ?? As far as I am aware the cabins on the R class are the same size as Azamara ??

  16. Hi Diligaf,

I'm trying my best to obtain them. So far, no luck - but I feel it will happen.

BTW, Azamara purchased 450 lbs of Caribbean Lobster today in Nevis, and they are preparing it for several dining venues tonight. How cool is that ?

It's another team effort that makes Azamara so very special.

My mouth is watering !! so glad to see lobster back on the menu. Enjoy Andy. Thanks for all the updates.

  17. Thanks munch1. What is the UK website? The AU website lists the amenities also. I'm on the April 5 sailing on Journey and disappointed that Azamara seems to always book a long charter after the crossing. Was trying to see if you could book just a segment or had to book entire charter.

We are not allowed to post websites on cc

Email me at palloway@sourcecable.net and I will send you the site

  18. As an example, I don't think spirits are included on Quest's September/October charter from Montreal to NOLA.

On the Med charter in April the charter company is now including drinks plus BOGO fares

Guess it is not selling to well

  19. Sorry munch1, see the link I posted for uktog, not even the same between the states and Canada. Here it is free (included), $600 and $1400 and the includeds are a bit different and explained differently.

Really surprised the US and Canada are different??? And, what if a Canadian buys thru a US TA or vice versa, which package does the customer get and think about the confusion among the agents??

    A real conundrum!!!!

With are Canadian dollar , ends up costing $979.

    eeks !!

  20. Bonnie,

This is really confusing. I am in the US and booked 18 months ago so don't have the package Like Package and the Adore package shows on the US site at $ 600 while the Love package shows $1,400. No price shown to add the Like package and no $700 price for any of them.

Am guessing the $700 is for the UK but, don't understand why it is in dollars rather than pounds and why the pricing is different and why the US people can add the basic package while we can't in the US.

Really confusing having a promotion across the world with the same benefits but, different pricing and availability. Realize that there are different promotions in various markets but, in this case appears it is the same promotion with very different pricing as well as the ability of some markets to buy the included promo if booked earlier in some markets but, not all.

Extremely confusing and with the internet, people everywhere find out about promos in different markets and here on CC with people in different markets, almost impossible for one to know what he or she can or cannot have, order, or get free or pay for.

    Thanks,

Go onto Azamara's web site and click on booked guests

When that comes up click onboard pkgs.

It is there for Canada at $700 US funds , so it should be there for US.
