  1. Did the Azamara survey yesterday

Have received 4 spam emails today from unknown sources

Just wondering if anybody else is having the same problem today after doing the survey

  2. Love all the little shipboard goodies !!!

Just wish I was on Azamara now as we can't see outside for the blizzard blowing here at the west end of Lake Ontario.

  3. This was our first experience with an Azamazing evening and we agree with Bill C. We felt the compensation was generous. How much could have been prevented by research by the Azamara staff is hard to say. It was the local people who were not helpful ensuring that all the lower seats were filled and were slow going to the upper floor and not bringing the buses back efficiently plus there were empty boxes for the President and the theatre brass. We thought they deserved kudos for trying.

Not disagreeing with the compensation being given just wondering why a precedent is being set for one event and nothing done for others ?? This was not the first Azamazing event that went sour. Also not blaming Azamara.

  4. Thanks Bill C for your excellent post! As we too experienced the Azamazing Evening in Panama City, we want to add our appreciation to the good folks at Azamara Club Cruises for quickly acknowledging there was a problem for some of the passengers who were transported to the middle of the city for the Azamazing evening and then quickly followed up with a "more than generous" compensation. Once again, we are wowed by the classy way Azamara Club Cruises treats ALL of their passengers. Impressive! We will be back!

Yes it certainly was a generous compensation but it is still too bad that ALL passengers on previous bad Azamazing experiences weren't treated to the same classy treatment. Yes it was impressive BUT should not the same treatment be applied across the board ?? We too will continue to sail with Azamara and enjoy them as always.

  5. Agreed that it was extremely generous of Azamara but have to wonder what makes the logistical challenges any different from some of the other poorly executed Azamazing Evenings !!! Our evening on the November 26th West Indies cruise in St Kitts had challenges in transportation also and the site was not suitable for the demographics of the passengers either . not enough buses...late arrivals of guests ...no offers of drinks or food tid bits ..due to the late arrivals. There was no apologies made for any of this evenings fiascal !!! This is not the only Azamazing evening that has gone badly so why the special treatment for this particular evening ??? Just wondering !!! Seems to me that the saying " what's good for the goose is good for the gander " should be applied to other "dud" evenings !!!

    Sorry rant over !!

  6. Perhaps the critiques of the Amazing Evening in St Kitts have finally reached Miami.

    Totally agree Granny Di !!!

Wish the St kitts evening had been held on board the ship. The Islands are only suitable for a small scale event. Shortage of buses and lateness of arrival at event plus execution was not well done for the avg. age group and the number of people that attended

Very difficult to see gardens when you arrive after the sun has set and you are in total darkness

We had looked forward to this event and it was a total disappointment !!

  7. But on all the ships we have cruised on there are sales aboard in the different shops. My son wanted a new watch for Christmas, and I have gotten him one here, but thought it would be neat to bring him a second one after our Quest cruise in Jan/Feb...

Do they have sales on things like watches etc while on board??

    Thanks

    Chass

Got off the Quest on Dec.8th and yes they did have sales on assorted items including watches

  8. We were on the same West Indies cruise and it really wasn't all that bad. My DH is very sensitive to motion but he managed just fine after the 2'nd day. Yes lots of rocking and rolling the first few days, but we encountered higher waves in the same area last year on Azamaras San Juan to New York via Virgin Islands and Bermuda. Some rough enough to almost roll one out of bed !!!

  9. Hello All,

We just booked our flights with Choice Air for October 2014. My TA was told there is a $25 pp fee for Choice Air's guarantee for arrival for ship departure, This is particularly annoying as we are arriving TWO DAYS before the cruise departure. Anyone else had this charge? I can find no reference in the Choice Choice Air site.

We have used choice air 3 different times , latest being 3weeks ago and never had a fee for guarantee arrival

Give choice air a call or email them and see if there has been a change

  10. This Thread is So Childish! It's a Tit for Tat about what is advertised in what country as to what it is in another! If you want to split hairs, Silver Sea, Regent and Seabourn are saying they are All Inclusive but if you look at what they offer you Still have to pay for certain Xtra things, ie, spa treatments, Wine not on the Free wine list, Internet etc. If you want to say "All Inclusive " so be it! They are including Spirits, wine, beer throughout the ship Gratuities as well! Obviously the Brits have a diffrent meaning of "All Inclusive" than Americans and maybe thats why it is Advertised that way! Does it Really matter? And for those who think that now they are offering Complimentary drinks that the bar will be full of Drunks it Won't! I was on one of the first Regent cruises after they started offering Complimentary drinks, and CC people were saying the same thing about

how it will be nothing but a " Drunk Fest", well guess what? It wasn't! The cruise line said they did not see much difference in volume consumption! Change is Good! Get on Board and enjoy it!

    Right on !!!

    AGREE COMPLETLY
