  1. as far as I am aware, the earliest boarding time offered is 2pm, the earliest I have seen someone report to get onboard is 1:45pm, think this is still related to time required for deep clean between cruises

Eric said that after Nov 25 they would be AzAmazing Evenings... we ( or you, since we are not on cruise immediately after Nov 25...) will see!

I have an onboard destination celebration on 26th November in planner (Journey) so I assume it may be for cruises that commence after 25th November

We got an email invitation on Sept 24 for our Dec 12, 2022 sailing.

think they maybe do them in batches

I got two on that date, one for my November 19th cruise and the other for December 12th

I have taken advantage of the best price guarantee for GBP priced bookings.

I have done also but only as part of the (now ended) "Cruise with Confidence"

prior to that it looked like for UK bookings you cancelled, lost your deposit and rebooked (I assume it is back to that now Cruise with Confidence has ended....happy if someone knows otherwise)

I noticed that online checkin is now available for our cruise! We selected a 2-2:30 arrival time. Can we arrive earlier than 2 pm to drop off luggage and perhaps get onboard? Also, what dining options are available onboard Quest at around 2 pm? This is getting real... only 46 days until embarkation!

2pm has been the earliest boarding time since pandemic restart (they deep clean the ship between all disembarking passengers getting off by 9am latest and new guests arriving) there was a report of suite guests being offered 1pm and someone said they managed to get onboard at 1:45pm

Food put on in Windows from 2pm on arrival day

Is anyone onboard Onward able to take a pic of the smoking area? Or offer any comment in comparison to the other ships.

Saw a video which panned by for a split second and the furnishing did not look comfortable at all and certainly not the same as the other ships.
As I intend spending forty or so days there in the coming months I am a little curious.

I was on in June and they still had the Princess furniture there and were waiting on the arrival of replacement furniture (for smoking area, Mosaic tables and probably more) not sure if it has arrived yet...not back onboard till December

They did on onward in June.

I was on B2B on Onward in June and they were awaiting delivery so no bags at that point

I am guessing you boarded in Istanbul (with the bags) when I got off 🙂

  8. If you are referring to the current offer then it is Oceanview to Balcony. The prices shown already account for this so if the cruise is included in the offer you will see the price for Oceanview as the same price as an inside and the price for the Balcony is the price that would, without the offer, be the price for an outside

You will also find that there is no difference in the grades for balcony (usually V1, V2 and V3 are different costs) all are the same price.

On the same theme can you confirm there are both US and European sockets in the cabins? My hairdryer used 240v and won’t work on US voltage. ( Azamara newbie)

yes there are - I used the European sockets...Onward also has UK sockets

    • Some European countries are requiring your last vaccination shot be less than 270 days. We had our 1st booster in October which would have put us over the limit. So we recently that our 2nd booster.

the 270 days is relevant to the original vaccine, not the booster

the booster does not (currently) have an expiry

I am over 270 days since booster and am fine to travel to Europe (am not (currently) in scope for any further booster which is only being given to certain groups in UK)

    Ship:  Onward

    Captain:  Gianmario Sanguineti

    Hotel Director:  Tony Markey

Cruise Director:  Martin ………..  Only his second contract with Azamara

    Executive Chef:

What’s the pass mark!  Perhaps someone can help fill in the missing spaces!

The CD, Martin, was only on his second contract, the first being part of the show team.  He was extremely personable and his own show, the best of the cruise (singer).  He was very visible and engaged well with the guests.

I think Tony is due to go home on leave some point this month

Martin Lawson...met him on Journey, fellow Scot and good guy (Eric was on in June so assume he is currently on leave)

  12. not on website any more. If you use social media, there is an Azamara Reminiscing group on FBook that often mentions who is where.

Lee posted up the info from each ship a couple of months ago but likely out of date now

Onward has a pretty useless interactive TV system - no account or menu viewing and no shore excursion viewing or booking.

I was on Onward in June and was able to view my account on the TV (used it to track what OBC I still had left to spend :-))

Where did you obtain that information, please?

there is information on the website regarding both testing requirements (not required for Barcelona) and vaccination requirements https://www.azamara.co.uk/booked-guests/before-you-board/explore-well-at-sea

my recent cruise on Onward (from Ravenna) someone ended up travelling solo as their travel companion was denied boarding as they were vaccinated but not boosted (and their last dose was over 270 days before)

Can anyone confirm what the corkage fee is right now?  Is it $10, $15 or $25?  I cannot find this information on my cruise paperwork.

I found mine (quoted above) on Guest Copy paperwork under

    Alcohol & Smoking Policy

    Thank you

Are Johannes  and Eric still on the Journey?  I loved the “dream team”.  We booked a b2b on the Journey next April which is still a long ways off.

    Johannes is on Quest

Eric is now on Onward (after 12 years on Journey).. cruise director on Journey is now Stephen Millet

  17. the up to 100% off is dependent on your Circle Membership status, if Discoverer or above then indeed the 100% would apply in a CC suite

If someone has no status they would get 50% off the voyage fee ($19.95 per day) and may just decide to use the included minutes rather than pay the other 50%

You will choose when you first log your device on whether to take the included minutes or full voyage (if the latter, the second screen will show the adjusted cost)
