  1. Was it the salmon super food salad? Yeah, that was cut, too.
  2. It was removed within the last year which makes it relevant to the OP's question and thus to this conversation.
  3. This is the thread in which I begged Carnival to bring back the chia seed pudding a few weeks ago. There are some mentions of other items dropped from the SeaDay Brunch menu throughout it.
  4. Don't forget the chia seed pudding.😢 That was very recent.
  5. Yes, absolutely. When Carnival says the soda "must be in the guest's carry-on luggage", they mean as opposed to checked luggage. They don't care what type of bag you carry it on in.
  6. Also coincidentally, I just had oysters (Orchard Point variety😋) yesterday as well, at Mogan's Oyster House in Salisbury, Maryland. They're served like this: (not my photo) With cocktail sauce, lemon, and vinegar with red onion diced into it. ETA: no crackers.😁
  7. It looks like something ancient, ugly, possibly alien, and definitely carnivorous hatching from its egg. I would advise you to not be sitting there when it finishes hatching. That thing is gonna be hungry. I'm adding my appreciation to that of all the other here. I always enjoy your reviews and Miss Patti's pictures so much! This is the same itinerary we did (twice) on our last cruise, a B2B on Elation in January 2020 (although the second leg missed both ports due to winds or waves and we ended up at Nassau). So long ago. I'm looking forward to seeing the ports again. Thanks for taking us along!
  8. From Carnival's hompage, go down to In-room gifts and shopping, listed under the Already Booked column. When you click that, this will be one of the choices: Feeling Generous? Give a gift to your friend going on one of our cruises! Click on that, and go from there. ETA: You can also get to the In-Room Gifts and shopping page from the MANAGE tab on the blue bar across the top of the page.

  10. It's good to hear that they were willing and able to add it for you. I'll ask them to do so before I resort to whipping my own out of my evening bag. Even when the mashed potatoes were wasabi mash, I usually had to request extra wasabi after the first bite, because the wasabi flavour was so weak as to be practically undetectable.
  11. Loved that place! DH loved the bouillabaisse, DDs and I loved the ahi on watermelon and fish & chips.😋
  12. I've got wasabi on my packing list for this upcoming cruise to turn my mashed potatoes in the Steakhouse into the now-missing wasabi mashed potatoes.😁
  13. I gotta ask, saltines? Is this a regional thing? Oysters aren't served with saltines on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Cocktail sauce, yes; hot sauce, sometimes; vinegar (in the nicer establishments), yes; straight-up horseradish, sometimes; lemon wedges as well. But saltines? Never seen this. ETA: Do you eat them on the cracker? We just fix them up (or not) and slurp them out of the shell.😁
  14. It has indeed changed. Many items cut (such as chia seed pudding😢) and many items downgraded in quality (such as steak & eggs is no longer a filet mignon, but instead a tough, cheap cut).
  15. So, I'm Platinum, in a Suite (also gets Priority Tender), and booked a Carnival excursion. That's triple priority, so will they give my family our own private jet boat tender? As the first tender, of course.😎
  16. I've never heard of raw oysters being $.50 each. Is this what Carnival used to charge for them? That sounds crazy cheap! I have no experience with buying them onboard a ship. I love oysters, but wouldn't bother buying them on a cruise ship since I can't imagine they could compare to our local varieties. Around here, they are about $2 to $3.50 each, depending on the variety.
  17. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a prude. And I had already exposed (no pun intended) my children to classical art. They were not freaked out or even made giggly by the multitudinous nudes about the ship. They were quite familiar with David already as well as many of the other works that were reproduced on Pride. It was just the placement of her hand that my DD was wondering about.🤣 OOPS! I thought you were quoting my other post. So, although my reply doesn't make sense in reference to your post, I'm gonna leave it here to add to the conversation. Sorry about that.🤭
  18. On our first Pride cruise in 2009, we were walking past this picture as we did each night on our way to the MDR for dinner when my oldest DD, then seven, said "Mommy, what's that lady doing?" I said, "She's just resting" and kept on walking.😳🤣 Years after that, even my DDs came to call her The Lady With The Short Fingers, thanks to our CC buddy.😁
  19. From my very first cruise of 11 on Pride, in 2009, most of those nipples in the elevators were scratched-out white. It seems they tried to touch them up intermittently over the years (I remember something like nail polish on some of them), only for them to be scratched back off.🙄 Then there was the great Elevator Art Cover-Up Scandal of (2019?), when it all apparently went behind wood paneling.
  20. It's long gone. I can't remember how many years now.
  21. 😁Found It! Actual photo of actual (once-upon-a-time) wall art outside of the entrance to Beauties:
  22. Just looked it up, officially, it seems the Farcus design was "Icons of Beauty". But it sure was Renaissance-heavy. A blast from the past article about Pride when it was new: https://nypost.com/2002/03/26/the-prides-a-joy-good-nudes-carnivals-new-ship-is-awash-in-revealing-art/
  23. The Farcus theme for Carnival Pride's design was The Renaissance. It was a lot more apparent throughout the ship before many of the spaces were changed out over the years 2.0 "upgrade", covering over a lot of nude art in elevators and other areas - Anybody remember "The Lady With Short Fingers", (as a CC cruise buddy called her) on the wall outside of Beauties? ETA: I think it was Venus of Urbino, if not, it was a similar work, much larger than life.
  24. Yeah, but they put a fig leaf on him several years ago.
